Shaoxing rice wine has an outstanding reputation, and was named one of the top ten famous products in the country during the Qing Dynasty. In the 1910 Nanyang Entrepreneurship Conference, the 1915 Panama Universal Exposition, and the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Specialty Exhibition in 1936, he won many gold medals and honors. In 1952 and 1963, Shaoxing rice wine was rated as one of the "Eight Famous Wines" and "18 Famous Wines" in the country. In 1979, rice wine was awarded the title of "National Famous Wine" and was awarded gold by the State Economic Commission.
