Foxconn recently officially released the official video of Foxtron MODEL B. Model B will be fully unveiled on October 18. Previously, Foxconn released Model C, Model E and Model T one after another. Now another Model B comes, and Tesla is speechless.
Foxconn is well known. It is a Taiwanese electronics company and one of the main manufacturers of Apple iPhone. It is now planning to enter the automotive field with Model B.
In 2021, Foxconn acquired the Lordstown Assembly Plant in Ohio from the troubled electric car startup Lordstown Automobile.
You will find that the brand name of Model B model is not Foxtron, but Foxtron. In fact, this car is jointly produced by Foxconn and Taiwan's largest automaker Yulon Auto (domestic brand Nazhijie ).
Model B model design is led by the Italian design company Pininfarina , which is famous worldwide. Many supercar stylings of Italian classic sports car Ferrari and Lamborghini are from Pininfarina.
Model B will be equipped with Foxconn’s open source MiH platform, with ’s range of 500 kilometers. The platform will also support two other models previously disclosed by Foxconn, namely the larger crossover Model C and the luxury sedan Model E. The platform supports single-motor and dual-motor settings, with the Model C's range of 696 kilometers and the Model E's range of 745 kilometers.
Foxconn plans to put Model B models into production in China in 2023 and in the United States in 2024.
Foxconn had previously planned to help Chinese startups Byton build electric cars, but when Byton runs out of funds, these plans failed . I don’t know if the same fate will come again this time, and the future of Foxconn Automobile is undecided.
