How can one be considered emotionally stable?
I think it should be the calmness and indifference of Fan Zhongyan's "not to be happy with things, not to be sad for oneself", and the broad-mindedness of the Tang Dynasty Xiao Feng's " is unfazed by favors and humiliations, watching the flowers blooming and falling in front of the court; leaving or leaving unintentionally, wandering with the clouds rolling in the sky".

There is a couple of roommates in my life, let’s call them Wife A and Husband B. Due to special reasons, this couple and I have maintained a long-term living style similar to sharing a house. It is more like a boarding house, and my activity area is a small bedroom of less than 10 square meters that is temporarily my own.
Wife A is a blustering woman in her fifties who can easily produce negative energy. Husband B is a grumpy, chauvinistic man in his fifties who can easily make himself faint. The couple have one thing in common: they both have loud voices. Due to the poor soundproofing in the house, I could hear the couple arguing every day over trivial matters, doubling the level of the sound that usually exceeds my tolerance. It often scared me. This state of getting along as a couple made me want to escape at any time, and I secretly thought in my heart that I would never allow my family life to be like this in the future, because I couldn't imagine the bad impact this kind of relationship would have on my children.
It will be very relaxed and pleasant to get along with people who are emotionally stable. On the contrary, getting along with pessimistic complainers who are content with nothing is like being pulled into a dark and boundless abyss at any time, making people want to cover their ears and eyes and escape as soon as possible.
I have always warned myself to actively solve problems when they arise. Anxiety, losing temper, and complaining will not make things better, nor will they turn back time. Seize what you can control, and let go of what has happened and cannot be controlled. Let it pass! In this regard, my father has always felt that my mentality is not like a girl in her twenties, but like an old man in his forties or fifties. I like to think, start with reflection and summary of every good and bad thing that happened to me and around me, and let it become the wealth of my thoughts and mentality.
For the rest of my life, be an emotionally stable person. The sign of a person's maturity is probably to be emotionally stable, to be the master of one's own emotions, to keep oneself in a peaceful state at all times, and to make others feel comfortable and relaxed.
encourage each other and let us become better and better together!
