The ancients said: "Everything in the world has cause and effect. Those who sow their causes must eat their fruits." Cause and effect may be late, but no matter how long it takes, the evil causes you planted in the past will definitely bear evil consequences one day.
Many people often encounter various difficulties in life, such as career difficulties, marriage difficulties, and academic difficulties. The root cause is actually the past cause, which has produced results. We call this situation: "retribution."
Once the retribution comes, you cannot escape it. You must bear it. Although you cannot escape it, we can change our thoughts and behaviors to resolve it. When the retribution comes, we must keep these three sentences in mind, and bad things can become good things.

The first sentence: Everything that goes wrong is your own retribution.
When you encounter trouble, don't panic. We must first understand the cause, and don't blindly burn incense and ask for help. If you don't know the cause, you can't resolve it.
The classics say: "If you want to know the past lives, it is the recipients in this life; if you want to know the future results, it is the doers in this life." What does it mean? If you want to know your past, look at your present. If your life is happy and smooth sailing now, it means you have often cultivated good karma in the past. If you want to know your future, look at what you are doing now.
Cause and effect is actually very easy to understand. To use an old saying, it is actually: "If you sow melons, you will reap melons; if you sow beans, you will reap beans." Whatever cause you plant, you will naturally reap the fruits. If you plant a sycamore tree , a phoenix will come.
In fact, all the unhappiness you encounter are your own cause and effect. Don't complain about unfair fate. We have to look at what we have done in the past. If you understand this truth, you will naturally know what to do in the future to attract good luck.

The second sentence: Don’t do any evil, do all the good, and good luck will come.
When you encounter difficulties, just remember these eight words, and good things will come. When many people encounter difficulties, they either like to ask for help, or they fall into despair and are unable to recover. However, few people use positive good deeds to resolve the suffering in life. Therefore, there will always be a few people who can achieve great things and be virtuous.
If you are experiencing suffering, it means that you have too little blessing. If you want to resolve it, you can only solve the problem fundamentally by accumulating more blessings and doing more good deeds.
If you find someone to help you solve a problem, the same problem will appear next time. If you are lucky enough to avoid a bad thing this time, you may not be so lucky next time. Therefore, we must rely on ourselves to do good deeds and accumulate virtue. When you have more blessings, all difficulties will naturally be solved.

The third sentence: The so-called difficulties are all here to help you.
In fact, all the difficulties you are encountering are here to help you. Really smart people will seize opportunities to grow and progress quickly, and will be grateful for difficulties and sufferings.
Without Devadatta's repeated injuries, there would be no Sakyamuni. If he had not experienced suffering, there would be no great men and saints. The greater a person's achievements, the more difficulties he has experienced.
When you encounter difficulties, think about these three sentences, and you will no longer complain, but will accept it happily and use practical actions to make yourself better.
