I wonder if you have noticed it? Now I feel that Chinese New Year is becoming less and less interesting! Especially for a single-parent family like mine, where I am an only child and only have my dad during the Chinese New Year. My dad and I busily cooked a large table of dishes, but we couldn’t even eat a few bites. The house was empty, except for furniture and electrical appliances. Did it really feel deserted?

I don’t like to celebrate the New Year, because from the second to the tenth day of the lunar month, every day I either give New Year greetings to others or people come to visit me. Every day’s schedule is fully arranged and I am always busy. It has not changed for so many years.

My dad and I always carry big and small bags plus red envelopes when we send New Year greetings to relatives and friends. Some relatives only bring two inconspicuous things and have to stay to drink and eat. My dad is smiling all over his face, and I am like a waiter, because my dad said, "Be polite, no." Be snobbish! "

My father's friends are still talking about it, but most of the people who come to my house don't bring aunties, but boys about my age. Some uncles bring sons, and some uncles bring nephews and nephews. The meaning is self-evident!

In the past two years, I have refused to go to his friend's house with my dad, but my dad said: "They are all my comrades in arms, and they can't avoid drinking. Who will take care of me if I drink too much?" So I can only honestly work as a driver and bodyguard for my dad, but I gradually see that these are dad's excuses. The purpose is to let me see more of the world and get in touch with more outstanding boys, at least all of whom can catch my dad's eye.

I know that my father is doing everything for my own good, but I really don’t want to fall in love or get married. Maybe it’s because of my single-parent family. In the new year, I just want my dad to be happy. I know that my dad has always taken my feelings into consideration. Otherwise, given my dad’s character and conditions, there must be many aunties who are willing to cheat. My dad is only in his 40s.

Forget it, let’s not mention it! Anyway, I just really hate the Chinese New Year. I wonder if anyone else feels the same way? Tomorrow begins my journey of suffering, please comfort me! [Poor][Poor][Poor]
