The General Office of the Ministry of Education recently announced the list of training bases and training targets for the new era primary and secondary school teachers and principals training plan (2022-2025), identifying 150 teachers as the training targets for famous teachers, 10 units as the training bases for famous teachers, 150 principals as the training targets for famous principals, and 10 units as the training bases for famous principals. 8 people from Gansu Province were selected into the famous teacher and principal training program (4 famous teachers and 4 famous principals each).
Those selected for the famous teacher training program in Gansu Province are: Bu Zhaojun, a chemistry teacher at Jingtai No. 2 Middle School, Guo Shuanghong, a Chinese teacher at Donghua Primary School in Huating City, Pingliang City, Chen Zhigang, a mathematics teacher at Wenfeng Middle School in Longxi County, Dingxi City, and Wang Wenpin, a Chinese language teacher at Dongjie Primary School in Shandan County, Zhangye City. Those selected for the famous principal training program are: Zhang Yutao, principal of the Second Kindergarten in Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Wu Yunxia, principal of the First Kindergarten in Hetero City, Gannan Prefecture, Tian Lanli, principal of Anxi Road Primary School in Lanzhou City, and Ma Jian, principal of Wudu Experimental Middle School.
In order to build a team of high-quality professional innovative teachers and principals, on the basis of fully summarizing the experience of the pilot project of famous primary and secondary school teachers and principals, the Ministry of Education decided to implement the New Era Primary and Secondary School Teachers and Principals Training Plan (2022-2025, referred to as the "Double Plan"). The "Double Name Program" trains teachers and campus principals who are engaged in front-line education, teaching and management in ordinary primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and special education schools, as well as teaching researchers in teacher development institutions who are engaged in education and teaching research and guide front-line practice. From 2022 to 2025, relying on high-level training bases, a three-year intensive training of about 300 primary and secondary school teacher principals will be carried out to help teachers and principals further consolidate their educational concepts, improve their abilities in education, teaching, and running schools, and strive to cultivate a group of educator-type teacher principals who can lead the reform and development of basic education, support them in playing a leading role, and drive the development of more teachers and principals.
The Ministry of Education requires that the trainees for famous teachers and principals should take the initiative to learn, improve the cultivation of teacher ethics, expand knowledge horizons, deepen education and teaching research, boldly explore classroom teaching, talent training, and school management models, actively promote education and teaching reform and innovation, focus on improving the quality of education and teaching and the level of running and running schools, and produce experience, resources, and results, and give full play to their professional influence and radiating and leading role. Each base should focus on the individual needs of the training objects, carefully design one-to-one training plans, improve the project management mechanism, integrate high-quality training resources, and effectively promote the improvement of the comprehensive quality of famous teachers and principals. Provincial education administrative departments and various bases must strengthen coordination, improve supervision mechanisms, and ensure the effectiveness of the "double name plan" implementation.
