In 1958, Shandong Yanzhou Water Conservancy and Mechanical School was established. In 1959, it was changed to Shandong Qufu Water Conservancy and Mechanical School. In 1985, it was renamed Shandong Provincial Water Conservancy School. In 1994, it became a national key technical secondary school. In 1999, was merged into Shandong Water Conservancy Workers University. In 2002, he was upgraded to a higher vocational college. In 2004, the main body moved to Rizhao to run the school.
