Tsinghua University is one of the top universities in my country, with a rich source of high-quality students. Many provinces hope that Tsinghua University can be relocated locally to promote local education and economic development.
However, not every province is suitable to accept Tsinghua University. For example, Jiangsu Province is not suitable.
First of all, Jiangsu Province already has two 985 universities Nanjing University and Southeast University . Their own educational strength is also relatively strong, and the demand for Tsinghua University is not too strong.
Secondly, Jiangsu Province has a large number of high-quality universities. In addition to 985 universities, there are also many 211 universities. It is a province with rich university resources in my country. If Tsinghua University enters Jiangsu, it will break the current balance of universities in Jiangsu Province and lead to more dispersed resources.
Tsinghua University enrolls a small number of students every year, which does not help much in improving the college entrance examination admission rate in Jiangsu Province, but the requirements are not low. Nanjing's small area makes it difficult to accommodate Tsinghua University, a university with nearly 100,000 students. Tsinghua University would not agree if it were arranged in another city.
Of course, most regions are very eager for high-quality universities like Tsinghua University. Even the projects brought can solve many development problems for the local area.
Due to the uneven distribution of university resources in our country, there are a large number of high-quality universities in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing, while there are relatively few in other provinces. Therefore, it is more suitable for Tsinghua University to go to other provinces.
