At this point, the latest world university rankings of the four authoritative institutions in the world have been released this year!
This is the ninth consecutive year that USNews has released its global rankings. This year, it has evaluated the performance of 2,000 top universities from 95 countries or regions, an increase compared with last year (1750).
This ranking examines the overall academic research performance and reputation of universities, rather than separate undergraduate or graduate courses, so it can help everyone to compare universities around the world more comprehensively and accurately.

U.S.News was first released by the U.S. News on October 28, 2014. The best university rankings in the world are derived based on ten indicators such as the academic level and international reputation of the university, so as to provide scientific reference for students around the world to choose ideal universities around the world.
In the 2022-2023 best universities in the 2023 updated global rankings, a total of 2,000 top universities from 95 countries or regions were evaluated, an increase compared with last year.
In addition, in the ranking of subject fields, the rankings of 4 disciplines have also been added, with a total of 47 disciplines rankings. The four additional disciplines are: Artificial intelligence, Education and educational research, Meteorology and atmospheric sciences, and water resources.

This ranking not only integrates the undergraduate and graduate education levels of each university, but also makes accurate and comprehensive evaluations of the school's academic research and industry reputation. The reference indicators and corresponding weights for this year's ranking are the same as in previous years, including 13 ranking indicators, the specific proportion is shown in the figure below:

Ranking highlights
As an American list, U.S.News is characterized by a lot of American universities. This year, a total of 15 American universities have entered the top 20 in the world, and the United States has occupied 41 seats in the top 100 in the world.
The top 10 colleges this year are not much different from last year, and are still being won by prestigious American and British schools, with 8 American and 2 British schools in the United States. The first place is still the Harvard University in the United States. However, this year's Columbia University's ranking has dropped by one compared to last year, ranking only 7th.
