In the 2023 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2023 released on October 12, the University of South Queensland has climbed hundreds of places, ranking among the 301-350th place in the world due to its dynamic research results and a strong international perspective.
From the ranking of 501-600 in 2021 to 401-500 in 2022, and then to the strong rise in 2023, the outstanding ranking results of the University of South Queensland benefited from a significant increase in research citations and improvements in the two categories of teaching and research.

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is a global university rankings used to judge all core tasks of research universities: teaching, research, citation, industry revenue and international perspectives.
In the study citation category, the University of South Queensland's score rose from 74.2 to 85.5, an increase of 15%, ranking 228th among 1,799 universities. In addition, the University of South Queensland has maintained excellent results in the international field category, ranking 221st overall.
