The Intelligent Vehicle Service Department of Nanhu Vocational and Technical College has developed strongly on the basis of the automobile inspection and maintenance major and established an intelligent new energy vehicle technology professional group. The
professional group has four majors: new energy vehicle detection and maintenance technology, automotive intelligent technology, intelligent connected vehicle technology, and automobile application and maintenance technology. It has been approved in the country's first "smart new energy vehicle" career direction job certificate integration demonstration base and Shanghai 5G+XR intelligent (networked) new energy vehicle virtual simulation demonstration base.
New energy vehicle testing and maintenance technology major was not only successfully selected as the municipal teacher teaching innovation team of Shanghai Vocational Colleges and Universities, but also became the registered filed by the Ministry of Education, the only Sino-German advanced vocational education cooperation (SGAVE) project in Shanghai, and the sixth batch of modern apprenticeship pilot colleges and universities in Shanghai.

According to reports, the Shanghai Selection Competition for the Second National Skills Competition Automotive Technology Project is hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Finance Bureau, Education Commission , etc. With the theme of "New Era, New Skills, New Dreams", and with the goal of fully preparing for the 47th World Skills Competition and the Second National Skills Competition, 49 competition events including body repair, mobile robots, Industry 4.0 are set up. A total of 18 participating teams, nearly 100 enterprises and institutions, and more than 920 contestants participated.
