On October 10, GAC Toyota's first e-TNGA pure electric mid-size SUV bZ4X was officially launched. The new car has launched five major configuration versions, with a suggested retail price of 199,800 yuan to 287,800 yuan after comprehensive subsidies, which is lower than the pre-sale price of 220,000 to 300,000 yuan previously released, bringing everyone a surprise.
bZ4X was born in GAC Toyota's global model factory with the "zero defect rate" and was built using the BEV exclusive platform based on the e-TNGA architecture. The new car has achieved 100% restoration of the concept car in terms of appearance, adopting the new design concept of "Activity Hub", hammer-shaped shark-shaped front face, multi-eye LED headlights, LED lightsaber-shaped taillights, lower hood design, etc., with high overall recognition.
The interior space is spacious, with length, width and height of 4690/1860/1650mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2850mm. The digital vehicle-mounted ecosystem equipped with the Smart Cockpit supports voice recognition and supports OTA software upgrades. Equipped with a cabin cabin cabin cabin, it incorporates the HUD design concept, so that the driver can see the driving data without moving his eyes. For the first time, knob-type electronic shifting is adopted, which avoids misoperation and makes the central control area more beautiful and simple.
GAC Toyota bZ4X is built on the e-TNGA architecture. The battery under the floor is integrated with the body. The frame structure uses hot stamping materials and high-strength steel plates with a proportion of up to 61%, which not only improves safety, but also greatly reduces the center of gravity of the body. In terms of driving control, the four-wheel drive version is equipped with dual motors with a total output power of 160kW, with 0-50km/h acceleration of 3.4 seconds. It is equipped with the X-MODE four-wheel drive off-road assistance mode jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru , as well as the newly developed Grip-Control intelligent creeping mode. By fully leveraging the driving characteristics of the motor, the bZ4X takes into account the free-track driving experience and off-road passing ability involving a variety of complex road conditions. Even if it encounters extreme road conditions such as deep snow and mud, it can be easily dealt with.
It is worth mentioning that the new car supports OTA upgrade, and is equipped with 4 PVM cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars. It is equipped with Toyota's latest generation "TSS 3.0 Intelligent Safety System", which integrates PCS pre-collision safety system (with front pedestrian recognition), DRCC dynamic radar cruise control system (with full-speed domain following function), LDA lane departure warning system, LTA intelligent lane tracing system and AHB high beam automatic control system, as well as RSA road sign recognition assistance system, EDSS emergency driving stop system, PDA prejudice active driving assistance system and other intelligent driving assistance functions.
In addition, the new car is also equipped with a solar charging dome for "calling in" when basking in the sun. The power generation is about 159 times a day, and the power generation is about 1750km a year. It supports the "digital key" function, and seamlessly realizes convenient operations such as remote locking, locking, and starting the engine through a smartphone. There is also a "smart parking assistant" that is particularly suitable for novice drivers, especially in narrow road conditions, bZ4X can be remotely controlled into the parking space through the mobile APP.
In order to further improve the power performance and driving energy saving of the vehicle, and ensure the actual range especially in winter, GAC Toyota bZ4X is equipped with a three-in-one motor system and a battery temperature control system. Through the optimization of aerodynamic design (drag coefficient 0.28), creating a lightweight body, and adopting heat pump and air conditioning with significantly reduced energy consumption, it can achieve a pure electric range of 615km under the CLTC operating condition standard, with the optimal power consumption of 11.6 kWh per 100 kilometers.
Customers place orders directly to the manufacturer through GAC Toyota bZ mini program, with transparent prices and clear delivery time. At the same time, GAC Toyota bZ4X also provides car owners with a series of after-sales guarantees and rich car purchase rights, aiming to provide customers with a diverse choice of car purchases and a more secure car use experience. In more than 660 GAC Toyota dealerships across the country, bZ4X can get a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer three-electric warranty, 10-year or 200,000-kilometer free inspection/maintenance, no less than 60% off value repurchase within three years, free home charging piles or 2,000 yuan charging card (choose one of two), and 5-year free Internet of Vehicles service and so on.
Faced with the increasingly severe global climate change, GAC Toyota responds to the national new energy development policy and the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, and accelerates the layout of HEV/PHEV/BEV all-round electrification products. It plans to account for nearly 60% of the sales of electrified models by 2025 and 100% by 2035, providing consumers with more diverse and more secure choices.
