In the 2nd year of the Ming Dynasty, a blind monk lived in the west of Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. The monk has no name, he doesn't remember how old he is, and no one knows where he comes from. Because the monk's head is big and round and straight, and his forehead is round and full, people all call him a big-headed monk.
According to a local firewood seller named Tuesday, he has known Datou Monk for more than 50 years. When he was a child on Tuesday, he often visited Datou Monk with his grandfather. The appearance of the monk Datou has been in his forties for many years, and has not changed much.
The big head monk usually sits and lies down. Sometimes he spends all month lying in bed and never goes out. When people gave him vegetarian food, he ate it clean no matter how much, and no one saw him go to vegetarian food due to hunger. If someone asks him about Buddhist principles, he can hit the point in just a few words and convinces people, which shows that he has certain attainments in the understanding and practice of Buddhism.

The bushes seller often follow him on Tuesday. One day, the monk Datou said to Tuesday: " Guangfu Mountains and Waters are very beautiful, I want to go and see it. " Tuesday said with a smile: "" Master has no eyes, what other landscapes can he see! " " Datou monk also smiled and said: " What can you see if you have eyes? "
Later, on Tuesday, the monk Datou was sent to Guangfu Mountain. About a month later, the monk Datou sent someone a message to Zhou Tuesday: The scenery on Guangfu Mountain is indeed beautiful, so he asked him to come to him one day and he wanted to say goodbye to Zhou Tuesday.
Tuesday came to the mountain according to the date mentioned by the monk Datou. The big monk took his hand and said: "" , I will go " and said nothing else. Then, the monk Datou sat cross-legged, and there seemed to be a sound like water boiling in the dantian area, rising from the dantian. When the sound rose to the head, the monk Datou passed away suddenly. Later, on Tuesday, the monk Datou was buried in Guangfu Mountain.
Ordinary monks are all in temples. This big-headed monk is also unique and can live in the secular world for so many years. The fact that the deeds of Datou Monk can be recorded in ancient books shows that the strangeness he showed still had a certain impact on people's thoughts at that time. After all, these practitioners are different from ordinary people. Perhaps while they are following their own practice path, they are also enlightening the people around them.
