Master Jingxiang was an eminent monk in the Song Dynasty . His lay name was Fu and he was born into an official family. His father Fu Yi was the magistrate of
Yongxin County .
Master Jingxiang has been alert and intelligent since he was a child. He loves learning and is well-read. He is praised as a genius by his fellow villagers.
When Master Jingxiang was in his twenties, he heard that a monk named Youqi was preaching at Lingjiu Temple. Jingxiang was curious and went to listen.

After listening, he felt that Buddhism was vast and was deeply moved. He shaved his head when he returned home, then became a disciple of a local eminent monk and became a monk.
A few years later, he received the teachings of the eminent monk Mingxiang Zhenru and became the proud disciple of Master Mingxiang Zhenru. In order to practice Buddhism, he lived in seclusion in a Buddhist temple for more than ten years and finally made great progress in Buddhism and became a Buddhist monk.
People from all over the world admired Master Jingxiang's reputation and invited him to give lectures in other places, but he declined them all. Because he felt that this would affect his practice.

During the Jianyan period of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, wars continued. Master Jingxiang came to live in Tiantai Mountain to avoid the wars.
Not long after, a general invited him to be a guest in Daji Mountain, Jiangxi Province. He was just halfway there when he was retained by Prime Minister Fan Zongyin. Fan Zongyin admired Master Jingxiang very much, so he wrote a memorial to Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty and asked Master Jingxiang to be the abbot of Fushan Buddhist Temple.
A few years later, Master Jingxiang knew that he was about to pass away, so he handed over the cassocks and scriptures that the master had passed on to him and had collected them for many years. He also gave them to his disciple, monk Fasheng, and then passed away in lotus lotus.

The disciples were extremely sad and according to Master Jingxiang’s last wish, Master Jingxiang’s body was cremated.
After the cremation, the disciples were surprised to find that Master Jingxiang's "eyes, teeth and tongue were not bad" and they also received five-color relics and several rosary beads that were commonly used during his lifetime. It can be seen from this that Master Jingxiang’s cultivation is profound.
