In the eyes of modern people, the ancients were ignorant, at least the scientific level in ancient times was very low. This view is supported by the very low productivity in ancient times.
Although it is true that the productivity of the ancients was low, we cannot simply think that they were ignorant or even stupid.

On the contrary, the ancients seem to be no less inferior to many problems that modern science has no solution for the time being.
As far as the deduction of the unknown universe is concerned, the ancients calculated a very accurate calendar by relying only on the movement of celestial bodies with the naked eye. The twenty-four solar terms in the lunar calendar and the rise and fall times of ocean tides could be down to the minute in remote ancient times.
Did you know that most of the people who calculated these in ancient times were "real people", that is, people who practiced spiritual practice?
Why can "real people" have such high wisdom? In their eyes, the vast universe and their own bodies are actually the same.
Once you know the rules of operation of your own body, the "small universe", and master the internal changes of your body, you can further analyze and explore the unknown universe.

This is wisdom. People with wisdom can be called wise men.
But not all wise men can grasp this law. There is also a so-called "blessing" that determines their achievements.
Some wise men have mastered the secret between wisdom and blessings, so that blessings will increase with their own practice. This is to increase blessings, but it is not impossible, because impermanence is permanent.
But there are also some wise men who have spent their whole lives studying Buddhism. They think that mastering Buddhism is wisdom and they can obtain blessings. This is obviously wrong.
This is what we often call metaphysics now. If you simply master the knowledge of Buddhism but don’t know how to apply it in practice, you will not be able to develop your own wisdom, let alone increase your blessings.

Zen Buddhism once said that "wisdom always arises in the hearts of disciples." This also means, where does wisdom come from? It does not come from books, and the knowledge in books is far from becoming wisdom.
Real wisdom is the clever use of knowledge by the physical body. How to use it depends entirely on the "heart" of the wise, and it has a lot to do with chance.
Many people don’t know much about blessings, but for a practitioner, if you want to be enlightened, having sufficient blessings is the cornerstone.
How to unlock your own wisdom? Buddhism believes that if a person can accumulate immeasurable kindness, he can open the door to wisdom, and accumulating immeasurable kindness obviously requires a person to implement it from the heart.
Buddhism also believes that faith is the ability to enter, and wisdom is the ability to save.

If you want to unlock your own wisdom, you must master a trick, and this trick has nothing to do with memorizing knowledge by rote.
Therefore, Buddhism is as vast as the sea, and no one can ever memorize all the Buddhism. This requires "enlightenment" to reach the other shore. How to "enlighten"
?
Zen Buddhism believes that meditation is the main factor. They believe that all power comes from "concentration", but if you want to be still, you must first "concentrate", just like the relationship between "the heart, the wind, and the flags" said by the sixth patriarch Huineng.

True meditation is not about sitting down in a silent space. This cannot be considered "meditation". If you can calm down among worries, that is the doorway to meditation.
is like a farmer planting crops. If you just sow the seeds hard, it will be difficult to get a good harvest. Only by constantly watering, fertilizing, weeding and insecticide can you get a good harvest.

The practice of "real people" is like this. They not only obtain knowledge from books, but at most they can sow seeds. At the same time, they insist on meditating, which is equivalent to weeding out the weeds in the field of wisdom in their hearts, so that the flowers of wisdom can bloom and the fruits of wisdom can be born.
