Dazhen. His name is Xinyi, his common surname is Zhou, and he is from Wuling, Changde, Hunan. When he was a baby, he would put his palms together and recite "Namo Buddha". When I go to school, I don't like to be in the company of other children. I like to gather sand and draw pagodas on the ground alone, or sit quietly by myself and watch my nose and nose, and watch my heart through my nose. When he was nine years old, he met Master Shaojue of Lianju Temple and accepted the Three Returns and Five Precepts, so he stayed under his seat. At the age of fifteen, he shaved his head and became a monk. At the age of twenty, he entered Yunqi Mountain and received full ordination. Dazhen's parents also worshiped Master Shaojue to become a monk. Da Zhen served and supported his parents respectfully without any disobedience, for decades.
After Master Shaojue passed away, Master Dazhen continued to preside over Lianju Temple. He once wrote "Consciousness Only Harmony" and taught the Bodhisattva Diamond Precepts. He also established the Great Compassion Altar and practiced two kinds of confession methods: Shi Li. In the autumn of the year when he was seventy-one years old, he showed some slight illness. He gathered all his lay disciples and told them to protect the righteous Dharma. After seven days, he took a bath and changed clothes, sat in lotus position, held rosary beads, and recited the name of the Buddha together with everyone. After a while, the sound and breath became silent, and the jade chopstick hung down from the end of his nose (the snot shed after death is a symbol of enlightenment.) for more than a foot. An hour later, the top of my head was still warm. Before that, a layman named Zhou dreamed that Tianle was coming to welcome Master Dazhen as he left for the west, so he hurriedly brought several relatives and family members to receive the Three Returns and Five Precepts. In addition, the master of the nunnery said that he had dreamed of Dazhen sitting on the lotus platform on the first day of the lunar month. (Lingfeng Sect Theory)

Daoshu. A native of Renhe (Hangzhou), Zhejiang Province, he is proficient in Tiantai teachings, dedicated to practicing the Pure Land industry, and does not like to get close to the secular world. In the twelfth year of Shunzhi (1655 AD), the founder of the Qing Dynasty, he dreamed of climbing to the top of Yuping Peak with a divine monk. In June of the next year, I became slightly ill. On the 26th, I got up early in the morning and told the public that : "I dreamed last night that the divine monk came to greet me. Could it be that he was the one who climbed Yuping Peak with me in the past?" In the dead of night that night, I suddenly saw banners and the treasure cover filling the void. Flowers covered the ground, Daoshu immediately sat cross-legged with his hands folded, recited the Lotus Sutra seven times, chanted Amitabha more than a hundred times, and then passed away peacefully. The color of his face remained unchanged after death, and the space between the coffin, tables and chairs was filled with a strange fragrance. (Pure Land Complete Book)
