Tongwu is the famous 16th generation ancestor of the county Hongshan Temple , and is known as the master of Tianzhen. Legend has it that a master appeared in Hongshan Temple one generation. The president of Qinghai Buddhist Association and the eighteenth generation Yuansen are Tongwu Sun Tu.

When they asked him for the Dharma books, they found that they had been lost.

One year, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda of Dacien Temple in Xi'an held a grand church and specially invited Tongwu to participate. It was dusk that it was finally time to reach Xi'an. The abbot wanted to try how capable this monk from the West was and asked him to write an outline for answering the teachings before dawn. After midnight, the abbot asked 小文 to see if he wrote it. When the novice monk arrived at the meditation room, he saw him reciting scriptures cross-legged. The novice monk told the abbot what he saw. The abbot was worried that the answering outline would affect the answering church tomorrow, so he was worried. As soon as dawn, Tongwu handed over the written outline of the teaching answer to the abbot. The abbot saw that his handwriting was beautiful, clear and well-organized, and his views were unique, which was beyond the reach of ordinary monks, so he praised it very much.

When the woman saw that the abbot ignored her, she said, "Monkey, don't think my feet are ugly, let me be your good wife." The abbot and the monks kept silent and did not pick up the sock pads. The wife kept saying: Big Monk, Big Monk, don’t think my feet are ugly... The abbot never takes the sock pads, the wife kneels down and cannot get up. The two sides are in a stalemate, and the scene is very awkward. At this time, Tong Wu stepped forward and put his hands together, bowed to the woman and said: Thank you, the female Bodhisattva, for her thousands of needles and threads, and the Buddha's heart is high! Then he took the sock pad with both hands. The woman kowtowed to him and said, "Thank you for your gratitude to the monk!" After saying that, he turned around and left.

The apprentice said: We are monks and have no money. The bandit shouted: Monks must also stay and buy money! The apprentice shouted loudly: Master! They want to buy money! Tongwu looked back and pointed at the bandit (pointing the acupoint) and said: Don’t worry, you can leave! When the two apprentices turned around and left, they saw the bandits standing in a daze.

As soon as he finished speaking, the bandits immediately moved freely.

The adjutant led two guards from Xiangtang Gorge into Babaochuan, and through Dashagou to Hongshan Temple in Pingfan County. Tongwu is doing ritual activities, and the adjutant explains his purpose. Tongwu said: My ritual is not over yet, you can leave first, and come after I finish it. The adjutant said: Chairman Ma must take you to take a bus, we will wait here. Tongwu said: No need to wait, you go first, I will arrive later. The adjutant said: Master, if you don’t take a bus, it’s hard for us to get on the job when we go back. Tongwu said: It’s okay, I’ll be here too, so I will explain to Chairman Ma.

Tongwu smiled and said nothing.

It turns out that Tongwu completed the rituals from Xiaoshagou to Xining through minhe county . I ate a plate of buns in min and , and bought another plate for Ma Bufang. When he arrived in Xining, Ma Bufang hurriedly welcomed Tongwu to have a good rest first. Tongwu said: No, it’s important to see a doctor. Then he treated Ma Bufang's mother.

Ma's mother recovered from illness. Ma Bufang was very happy and rewarded a large amount of gold, silver and treasures, and ordered the adjutant to send troops to escort to Hongshan Temple. Tongwu said: No need to give it to you, just prepare two large jars and one shoulder pole. Ma Bufang said: Master, can you bear these two or three thousand pounds of things? Tongwu said: Chairman Ma, don’t worry about this.

The horse's servant found two large jars, put gold and silver in the jar, and tied the rope. Tongwu took up the shoulder pole, grabbed the tank rope, stomped his feet and flew to Pingfan City. Ma Bufang and his servants were stunned.

For a long time after Tongwu passed away, every late at night, the streets and alleys of the county town kept coming: My I am here? ! Mine I come? !

Tongwu passed away, and Hongshan Temple was a temple to be a dojo for seven days and seven nights. Those who participated in the Shengdian were hosted by major temples in Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, and tens of thousands of good men and women.

During the funeral, the only convertible jeep and more than 30 horse-drawn carriages sent from eight districts were dispatched. The funeral team was four or five miles long, and they were burialed to the south of the Qilian Mountain Cement Factory Gate of Zhongbao, which was more than 20 miles away. Until now, some believers who converted to to Buddhism, went to his cemetery to pay homage to him every April 8th.
