No matter what the reason is, business failure, emotional frustration, work setbacks, family misfortune, etc., you must first understand whether you can change your own monks. If you just change your clothes and recite a few words of Amitabha, and you still can’t let go of greed, anger and ignorance in your heart, then what is the meaning of becoming a monk?
Becoming a monk is not the purpose, and one cannot become a monk for the sake of becoming a monk. Being a monk is a path to seek enlightenment. Only when a suitable person walks, he will get closer and closer to the truth. Otherwise, it will not be the case!
First understand whether you can keep the precepts of monks. There are five basic precepts, monks’ precepts, Bodhisattva precepts, etc. Once you take the precepts, you will keep the precepts for your whole life! You also have to understand the Buddhist system of life. You can get up in the early morning and go to the main hall to recite scriptures, don’t eat after lunch, and work out of the slope, etc. You also have to have a certain cultural foundation. Buddhist scriptures are all classical Chinese. Can you understand them yourself, and can you recite them! Whether the body can bear the labor of the temple, work on the slope, plant vegetables and farming, and repairing temples is all about practice. It requires both physical fitness and will. Therefore, the old saying goes that being a monk is not a real man!
Looking at the above, if you can do it, you should do it; if you can't do it, you need to consider it, otherwise you will lose sight of one thing and everything will be empty!
