I often hear the word "conversion" in films and TV shows. There happened to be a devout Buddhist around me. I asked her what "conversion" means, threw me a bunch of information, added some communication, and sorted it into the vernacular of ordinary people.

Refuge rituals

Buddhism does not have strict refuge rituals, and the location is not particular. Even now, you can use videos to the master’s image on the Internet: kneel down and fold your hands together, follow the master to recite the Sanskrit three times "Refuge to the master, take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, take refuge in the Sangha" three times, and then kowtow three times, even if the ceremony is completed.

Refuge does not mean taking precepts

Buddhism has five precepts : one is to kill, two is to steal, three is to commit adultery, four is to lie, and five is to drink.

Immortality refers to having a relationship with the opposite sex outside of the couple, as the saying goes, "improper relationship between men and women."

lying means saying big talk and lying.

Most people who convert do not actually need to take precepts, and the proportion of precepts accounts for only 3-5% of all Buddhists.

Conversion and becoming a monk are two concepts

Monks, which means leaving the secular world of relatives, family, and career, and working in a monk in a temple.

, and converting to the master just worships the master and becomes a Buddhist. Becoming a Buddhist may not necessarily become a monk, but becoming a monk must be a Buddhist.
