Google is preparing to close the standalone Street View app for iPhone and Android, but the feature will continue to exist in the Google Maps app. Street View is a quick way to explore any part of the world from the street level. This feature is especially useful for understanding what’s going on during your trip, and it can also make the Google Maps navigation experience easier for the next Google Maps.

In addition, the street view experience of Google Maps is also quite easy to figure out. You still need to manually enable it by clicking a button, and you can enter the street view without leaving Google Maps.
Street View app is more direct, it lets you get straight into the Street View experience because it doesn't focus on navigation at all, so the standalone Street View app allows you to get a 360-degree view you want to explore virtually faster.
Also, if you want to contribute to the Google Maps experience, Street View allows you to contribute your own 360-degree pictures. However, Google made a web app called Street View Studio that could replace this feature.
With all this in mind, it's not surprising to see Google pull the Street View app completely from iPhone and Android.
Google has added deprecation and shutdown notifications to the latest version of Street View app. These notifications are not visible in the app, but some professional bloggers have found them. Here is the information Google gives to Street View users.
Street View app is disappearing
The app is disappearing soon and support will end on March 21, 2023. To post your own 360 videos, switch to Street View Studio. To view street view and add photo spheres, use Google Maps.
Considering that a large part of Google's business is tracking people and things, the reason why it shuts down Street View may be related to the number of users. More people may use Street View in Google Maps, a very popular Google app than Street View itself. However, this is just a guess, and there may be various reasons why Google stops apps or launches new apps.
has a street view function that will not have corresponding functions elsewhere, it is called photo path. It allows you to provide a 2D image of the roads and paths that you still need to record.
