The partnership will deploy what BTP claims is the "first 5G private network for the port sector in the Latin American continent." The project will officially begin construction after the country's regulators officially release the 5G private network frequency for 3.5GHz. BTP said: 5G networks will enable them to implement the deployment of various new intelligent automation systems and increase the speed and stability of network connections within the port, thereby improving operational efficiency. To achieve this, Nokia will contribute to the project through its Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) platform.
