Looking for alternatives to Twitter owned by Elon Musk? The original Twitter architect Jack Dorsey has prepared you with an option: Bluesky Social – a new “decentralized social network” designed to recycle user data.
But Bluesky isn't fully arrived yet, the app is currently in private beta testing, but according to a blog post, it should be released to the public "soon".
At this point, there is not much information about the application itself, at least in terms of the functionality or the actual release date. But on Tuesday, it did announce its new, improved “AT protocol” — it said, an improvement over the previously proposed ADX protocol and the underlying technology that actually powers applications.
The company's announcement reads: "'AT Protocol' is a new joint social network that integrates ideas from the latest decentralized technologies into a simple, fast and open network."

Of course, "Federal of Social Networks" does sound a bit like the common spelling of web3, not to mention the other words used in the Bluesky announcement. However, Dorsey and his team offer some of the main features of the technology (although still unproven), namely "account portability", " algorithm selection", "interoperability" and "performance".
In short, Bluesky claims that with its ATP protocol, users will be able to move between multiple social platforms, using a high-quality browser (Bluesky's app) to control what you see and what you data on those platforms. It is possible to start over again.

As for Dorsey’s old friend and Twitter’s new dad, Elon Musk, how would he feel about Dorsey’s new adventure? It also has to be thanks to Musk’s lawsuit with Twitter, which, according to a text message between the two revealed in court, showed that Musk claimed to be good about it, and in fact—it could be a good thing for Bluesky, as it was operating at its Twitter headquarters back in 2019.

When you join Zion, you will be assigned a new DID and a username. This DID will be protected by a 12-word seed phrase for privacy and security. Zion does not have permission to access these encrypted private keys .
Decentralized Identifier (DID) is a new type of identifier that enables verifiable decentralized digital identity. DID refers to any principal determined by the controller of the DID private key. Compared to typical joint identifiers, DID is designed to separate it from centralized registries, identity providers, and certificate authorities. Nodes connected to the Lightning Network directly route large amounts of instant micropayments between peers without relying on third parties' assistance or storage.
The innovation of the Lightning Network is to use time-locking transactions and encrypting random numbers to allow many two-party payment channels to form a connected network where payments can be sent through many channels without trusting intermediate nodes. Topology is similar to IP networks such as the Internet: data packets are routed through many physical links. As long as the data reaches the destination, the communication terminal nodes do not have to worry about routing. This works by decreasing time locks, which allow each intermediate node on the routing path to accept funds only when they forward funds to the next participant, using the disclosure of the previous image of the encrypted hash. In the Lightning Network, even if the node fails to forward payments or refuses to perform any action, the node cannot seize funds transmitted through its channels.
