I also took a gender bias test.
It will have some gender-related words, such as men, women, boys, and girls. There will also be some words related to career and family, such as garden, kitchen, children, salary, profession, briefcase...
Then you need to quickly match which side these appearing words belong to. Because it is your subconscious mind that is tested, the matching must be as fast as possible. It cannot be the result of your thinking.
The principle is actually very simple. It depends on whether you subconsciously bind some specific things to a specific gender. For example, you bind more housework to women, and more career to men.
In the end my test result was that there was little or no gender bias.
I am still very happy to get this result. I definitely hope that I am an unbiased person.
But at the same time, I feel a little bit deserved.
I feel that I still have some gender bias, but maybe as this result says, I just don’t have much bias in terms of career and family.
I really don’t have many obsessions that the male should lead the outside and the female should lead the inside. After all, who wouldn’t want to be with a rich woman? Hahaha, just kidding.
I personally think this matter can be discussed with each other. I prefer a more equal state.
For example, no matter how much money you make, both parties have their own jobs, so that they can have their own lives and social circles, instead of just focusing on trivial matters at home.
Of course, if you have the ability and freedom of wealth, it would be even better if you don’t work and can spend more time on your hobbies.
Housework is also something that both parties can participate in. For example, one cooks and the other washes the dishes; one washes the clothes and the other hangs them; one plays with the children and the other puts them to sleep...
Both parties contribute, and the home becomes more like a home. It feels like playing a nurturing game. Building a beautiful home together sounds very dreamy and beautiful.
But at the same time, I am also thinking that if the above words about occupations are replaced with specific occupations instead of some general words, the results may be very different.
For example, I may be more likely to be bound to men as a soldier, to nannies to women (the word itself has the word "female" next to it), to housekeepers to men...
Including teachers, as the grade increases , the proportion of male teachers is gradually increasing. If children are asked to match teachers with men and women, they may be more likely to be associated with women.

Then, I also think that getting this result is related to the fact that this test is an English test. If I switch to my native Chinese, the results may be very different.
First of all, I don’t use English that much, and I rarely accept some gender-related content in English. The education or discipline we have received since childhood is all in the form of Chinese.
is like tall and mighty and Xiaojiabiyu. I don’t know any corresponding words in English for these two words. If you just use words to describe size, it obviously doesn't have much gender color, but in the Chinese context, these two words have a strong gender color.
Using different languages is also using different ways of thinking. In terms of gender tolerance and openness, foreign cultures are also relatively higher, and many ideas and theories are also introduced from outside.
To sum up, I am not a person without gender bias at all. After all, people are products of the environment, and it is difficult not to be affected by the environment.
But realizing the problem is the beginning of progress. I can consciously make some changes.
I just learned some subconscious related knowledge before. We can brainwash our subconscious by ourselves.
A very important point in brainwashing is repetition. So, from this point of view, if we pay too much attention to gender issues and topics related to gender bias, this itself will deepen our gender bias.
On the contrary, we should be exposed to more vague and prejudiced content, or even some opposite content, similar to putting Xiaojiabiyu and men together, and tall and powerful women together. Brainwash yourself in reverse.

For example, Nezha in " One Hundred Thousand Cold Jokes", the character Nezha itself is quite androgynous, and there are different genders in different works. This feature is even more magnified in this work, with a cute face, a cute voice, and a strong body, a typical King Kong Barbie.
When I first saw this character, I thought it was something weird, but because it is a funny animation in itself, I quickly accepted this slightly outrageous setting. After looking at it for a long time, I slowly accepted this possibility.
If such a person appeared in the real world, there would not be such surprises and fuss. I think this is also a subtle process of eliminating prejudice.
