Zhang Zhongtian 1891 was born in Taihe County, Anhui Province. He is a chief physician and a famous master of bone correction in traditional Chinese medicine. The Zhang family is a family of traditional Chinese medicine bone correction, and the eighth generation is the generation of Zhang Zhongtianmin. Zhang Zhongtian learned the ancestral bone injury medicine with his father since he was a child. He was talented, highly conscious, and very hardworking, so he became a well-known bone doctor under the age of 20.
Zhang Zhongtian pays special attention to the exercise of basic skills. He believes that as a bone regulating doctor, if his basic skills are not solid, he cannot become an excellent bone regulating doctor. To practice basic skills well, we must carry out serious and hard training. When he practices, he focuses on both practicing strength and skill. "Practice" refers to improving physical strength, arm strength, wrist strength and finger strength.
He said that orthopedic doctors are different from doctors in other departments. They need a good body when diagnosing and treating them, especially a certain amount of strength. Therefore, an orthopedic doctor needs a strong body, especially strong fingers, wrists and arm strength. On the contrary, even if you have excellent medical skills and skillful techniques, but have weak power and cannot endure hardship, it is difficult to achieve the purpose of treatment.
In order to improve his fingering, he practices twisting hemp straw all year round. He chose hemp straw with a diameter of about 2 cm and a relatively hard texture, and continued to twist and pinch the belly of his thumb and index finger, and practiced until he could break the hemp straw with one twist. In addition, he often practices with sandbags of varying weights to strengthen the strength of his fingers, wrists and arms.
In addition to practicing strength, he also strengthens the exercise of skills. In order to practice the skills, Zhang Zhongtian chose hemp straw of varying thickness, wrapped it with cotton, then broke it, and touched it repeatedly with his hands to distinguish the different shapes of the break end, and then continued. This practice never stops until you are fully proficient.
Through long-term practice, he has very high accuracy in clinical identification of bone injuries and bone junction. He also imitated the famous Qing Dynasty doctor Wang Qingren , and went to the cemetery to pick up bones at night to distinguish and compare, deepen his memory, and finally learned a skill, reaching the point of "suddenly unaware of it". For this reason, when he was 20 years old, he was already well-known in the village and was known as the "Bone-Sharing Hand".
Zhang Zhongtian is not only skilled in medical skills, but also has very noble medical ethics, especially caring for the poor. For poor farmers, he does not bargain and charges very little. Not only that, he tried his best to care for the villagers. Once, the son of the local garrison commander fell into comminuted fracture , and the treatment was ineffective everywhere. Zhang Zhongtian performed bone assembly surgery on it, and later became as intact. The commander thanked him repeatedly, praised him as a "living god", and then paid him a lot of money, but Zhang Zhongtian did not take any money, but only asked the commander to release the two poor peasants who were arrested and strong in the village.
After the founding of New China, under the care of the Party and the government, Zhang Zhongtian, a private doctor, became a formal doctor at Taihe County People's Hospital. He truly became a doctor for a people. Due to his excellent medical skills, people seek medical treatment in many cities and counties, and even many patients from other provinces come to seek medical treatment. At that time, most of the ancestral medical skills were unwilling to be taught to outsiders, but Zhang Zhongtian was open-minded and believed that only by imparting the skill of skill could he benefit more people.
local government strongly supported his progressive ideas and enlightened actions, so he selected more than 40 students from his unit and various places to serve as apprentices. Later, two bone-forming learning classes were held across the province. He trained more than 200 orthodontist doctors, and these people later became the backbone doctors of orthopedics in local hospitals.
Later, with the help of his apprentices, he published the book "Zhang Zhongtian's Bone Preparation Experience" by him. The company was published by Anhui Science and Technology Publishing House in 1983. After publication, the book was highly valued by the medical community at home and abroad. It has been republished many times and even once became a textbook for traditional Chinese medicine bone correction. It is a very good reference book for traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and enthusiasts.
