Who is more susceptible to high blood pressure
1. Men and the elderly
Men are significantly more likely to suffer from high blood pressure than women. However, regardless of men and women, as age increases, the number of people with high blood pressure will increase.
2. People with high salt, low potassium, low calcium, and low animal protein dietary habits
In my country, generally northerners have higher systolic blood pressure than southerners, which may be related to dietary habits and lifestyle.
3. Mental workers, white-collar workers
Mental workers and people engaged in stressful jobs have a higher prevalence of hypertension than manual workers. This is related to stressful life and high psychological pressure.
4. Overweight and obese people
Obesity is an important factor leading to high blood pressure. The prevalence of high blood pressure in obese people is 2 to 6 times that of normal people.
5. People who smoke and drink
Smoking and drinking alcohol can induce coronary heart disease and thus increase blood pressure.
6. A survey of people whose parents have high blood pressure
found that if both parents have high blood pressure, the probability of their children having high blood pressure is as high as 45%.
