If you find it difficult to express your feelings to the person in front of you after entering psychological counseling, it seems difficult to speak and express, don’t worry, sometimes this may not be your problem, nor is it a psychologist’s problem.
Psychological counseling and treatment is an art that emphasizes interpersonal interaction, and it is quite normal for people to have a problem of incorrect frequency between people. The reference items for evaluating the correct frequency include many, such as experience, seniority, age, gender, and even more invisible temperament, etc., which are all considered.

When you first meet, or the first few times, you find it difficult to cooperate with the psychologist in front of you. The most effective way is to discuss it directly with him so that this difficulty can be clarified and discussed. Through this process, both parties have the possibility of adjustment, and at the same time, the client can be more clear about the parts they don’t like or cannot accept, and find a more suitable psychologist through this understanding.
If the talks have reached the mid-term (abbreviated, four times later), and you start to feel something is wrong, before changing a psychologist, we recommend that you discuss this feeling with the psychologist, because at this time you may have touched certain ununderstood needs or issues, which is very important for psychological counseling and treatment. The treatment process varies depending on the goals set by each person and your counseling/therapist, and the abilities each of them possesses. In a shorter course of treatment, mostly six to eight consultations or treatments, usually focusing on remission of problems (mainly symptoms or phenomena), and may reach twelve times if you reach a stable state.
In short-term consultation/consultation, most people will feel comfortable again, breathe a sigh of relief, and leave the consultation, and usually don’t encounter too many difficulties in separation at the end.

No matter what, deciding to stay or leave the consultation is something that the client can decide for himself. In short-term consultation/treatment, the therapist respects the client’s end decision, even if the therapist does not necessarily agree with the decision.
In long-term treatment, the therapist’s goal is not only to relieve symptoms, but also to promote awareness of self, awareness of others, and to some extent predict the outcome of one’s own behavior.
Compared with the short-term, in the final stage of long-term consultation/treatment, it focuses on consolidation, conducts deeper exploration, learning and integration throughout the treatment process, and achievements accumulated in consultation or treatment.
When counseling/treatment is over, you can usually better understand yourself and your place in the relationship, including finding relationships and activities outside of counseling/treatment, and being firm in yourself, and full of hope for continuing to grow and change.

In long-term consultation/treatment, clients often ask: How do I know when I am ready to leave treatment? The following phenomena can be used as reference:
First of all, it may be difficult for us to find meaningful topics in consultation.
Next, we might start thinking about what else can we do together?
3, we will notice that the gap between us is narrowing. The client no longer feels inferior to the therapist and imagines that everything in the therapist’s life is worse than theirs.
Both therapist and the client may feel relaxed, satisfied and lost, jealous or even bored from each other.
Another common client’s question is: When I leave the treatment room, does it mean that we have completed the treatment forever? In fact, like everything, visitors can decide whether, and when, to come back for further talks.
Many people will, and many people will not come back. All this depends on what will happen in the future. Crisis in life, accidents or new understanding of certain problems may prompt us to come back and continue consultation or treatment. Such a return may include another short-term, or long-term consultation/treatment, or a meeting in between.
