On November 12, the Party Branch of the Tangye Campus of Jinan Middle School relied on the advantages of the "Xinyuan" psychological service team and jointly launched the "Psychological Services into Ten Thousand Homes" benefit project with the Lushang Phoenix City Community Neighborhood Committee. The
activity received strong support from the Lushang Phoenix City Party Branch of Tangye Street, Licheng District. The community organized volunteers to widely publicize and arrange the venue. On the day of the event launch, the school distributed 300 pages of mental health knowledge promotion materials, received more than 60 individual psychological consultations, and more than 30 direct beneficiaries in the parents' classroom. The event was welcomed and praised by community residents. The school’s vice presidents Liang Yingbo and Meng Zhaohui, the teaching department director Guo Shujie, the Tangye Campus Party Branch Secretary and Office Director Yu Qiang, members of the "Xinyuan" team and some party members of the school participated in the volunteer service.
This activity aims to implement the requirements proposed by the Party and the state to "strengthen the construction of social psychological service system, cultivate self-esteem, self-confidence, rationality, peace, and positive social mentality", promote harmonious co-construction between schools and communities, and create a good community psychological service atmosphere. Based on the preliminary investigation of the psychological needs of community residents, the Party Branch of Jinan Middle School Tangye Campus adopted a "customized" psychological service method to carry out the "Psychological Services to Ten Thousand Homes" activity. Faced with the popularization and promotion of mental health knowledge through community speakers, distribution of publicity pages, etc., to improve residents' mental health literacy, and provide "one-on-one" psychological counseling and emotional relief services for children in the community, lonely elderly people, and teenagers in the community. At the same time, the " Parent Growth Class " was launched to help community residents solve the problems and pain points in family education .
Party Secretary and President of the school Dong Ya said that the "Psychological Services Enter Ten Thousand Homes" benefit project is an important measure for Jinan Middle School to leverage its own advantages and serve community education. The school will actively explore new paths for community mental health volunteer services and provide services for the physical and mental health of community residents.
