1. Becoming a person: How to promote personal growth in distance hiking - a method related to culture and health

Original title : Becoming a person: How long-distance walking can lead to personal growth – A cultural and health-related approach

Long-distance hiking is an activity that crosses culture and age. Recently, research has linked it with the concept of mental health and believes that long-distance hiking may have the effect of psychotherapy. However, there is still a need to be further clarified on core issues such as what is long-distance hiking and why it may be beneficial to mental health. In this article, we first outline the understanding and cultural expression of long-distance hiking and propose a completely new definition that contains different understandings and expressions of long-distance hiking. Secondly, we explain the benefits of long-distance hiking in psychotherapy from different angles and propose a new approach based on the framework of existentialism . Finally, we discuss the impact of knowledge of long-distance hiking on daily therapeutic interventions.

2. Smile: A signal that occurs when the "burden" is dissolved

Original title : Laughter: A signal of ceased alarm towards a perceived incongruity between life and stiffness

The main purpose of this study is to clarify the reason for humor and to determine why rhythmic laughter is the way to express humor. In this review, we analyze the characteristics of humor and laughter, their impact on health and social behavior, and which brain regions of the brain they are related to. Subsequently, the characteristics of laughter, their rhythmic shapes, and their correlation with other rhythmic behaviors in humans are described. We note that the theory of dissonance seems to be the most reasonable explanation of humor, which means that a) an inconsistent event or thing causes a sense of surprise; b) its subsequent events will lead the bystander to believe it is innocent; but c) humor is only triggered when an important and vivid event is introduced into rigid and stereotyped content. This study supplements the known fact that not all dissonance processes can produce humor. In a flowing story, an stereotype suddenly appears, which creates a "inconsistency". When this inconsistency is humorized, a "laugh" is generated, such a signal. Laughing is a response to unnatural and inconsistent situations. The loudness and rhythm of laughter can be used as a termination signal when encountering harmful events in a smooth life.

3. A system for describing mechanisms underlying the congruency sequence effect or the proportion congruency effect tml4

Consistency sequence effect (CSE) and proportional consistency effect (PCE) are two classic findings in experimental conflict studies. Given that more and more theories are proposed to explain these two effects, there are even completely different mechanisms between partial explanations. Therefore, it is very necessary to propose a unified system to describe its generation mechanism. In this article, we believe that by focusing on the functional similarity between all mechanisms that can explain these two effects, a unified system can be generated. The system can reveal adaptive dynamic information shared by the mechanisms behind the two effects. This shared dynamic describes each mechanism by solving the same problem on how to implement this dynamic. We believe that the system facilitates comparisons between mechanisms and also facilitates linking discussions about CSE and PCE with other discussions. Therefore, this article first introduces adaptive dynamics and their implementation problems, then answers these questions in typical cases, and finally discusses the practicality of the system.

4.Pervasiveness of experimental psychology effects based on sample: A Re-examination of replication data of nine classical psychology experiments

Original title : Pervasiveness of effects in sample-based experimental psychology: A Re-examination of replication data from nine famous psychology The experimental data reported in previous studies (Zwaan et al., 2018) were reanalysed in the experiments

article, which is derived from repeated verification of 9 classic experiments. is different from , which was a vague hypothesis in the original study, and a universal analysis was conducted in this study, which examined individual data showing experimental effects in the original sample. Seven out of nine experiments were shown to exceed the generalizability threshold adopted in this study. That is, in these seven experiments, more than 80% of the subjects showed the target experimental effect, which supported the view that the experimental effect was robust proposed by researchers such as Zwaan. The remaining 2 experiments (repeated start and shape simulation) did not meet this generalizability criterion, indicating that the repeatability of these effects is questionable. Universal analysis provides direct evidence of reproducibility for psychological effects and is proven to be an effective complement to traditional analytical methods.

5. Beyond research results: Excellent psychotherapy rests on many secure epistemic foundations

This article demonstrates the view that strict, well-theoretical psychotherapy practices are not only based on experimental results, but also rely on many equivalent, and in some cases more reliable cognitive basis. In the first part of the article, the degree of certainty of propositions generated based on different sources of knowledge is sorted based on the currently established epistemological thinking, thereby deriveing our confidence in and taking action based on them. After describing the source of each knowledge, the degree of psychotherapy practice based on it was analyzed. In the second part, the article introduces some sources of knowledge that are crucial for psychotherapy but are difficult to sort, and clearly states that cognitions that can be trusted based on these sources of knowledge. In the third part, a typical treatment case by Alan Baker is analyzed to illustrate how the sources of knowledge mentioned in this study are used in practice.
