In order to implement the spirit of the Leigongshan Reserve Administration's "Notice on Seriously Carrying out the Autumn Census of Pine Wood Nematode Disease in 2022", the Xiaodanjiang Management Station organized the 2022 pine wood nematode disease autumn census.
On October 10, the station organized staff to conduct a serious census on two fixed sample sites in the jurisdiction (small place names: Zhuiga and Wusuoxi). The 20 pine trees in each sample were investigated one by one according to the serial number from 1 to 20. The investigation results showed that both pine trees in fixed sample were infected with worm disease, and the pine forest was normal.
At the same time, in daily mountain patrol and forest protection work, other pine forest areas in the jurisdiction were investigated, and the communication towers, high-voltage lines and areas with frequent human activities were investigated, and forest rangers were urged to investigate areas with pine forests during mountain patrol and forest protection work. As of now, no pine trees were found to die.
In addition, the station continues to increase the intensity of wood inspection station inspection, mainly conducting key inspections on the transported pine seedlings and various pine products, and do a good job in preventing the spread of pine nematode disease from the source, and effectively protecting forest resources and ecological security.
