China-Thailand High-speed Railway Phase I ( Bangkok -Korat Section) project is in full swing.
China-Thailand High-speed Railway Section 4-3 is one of the nine sections that have been started on the first phase of the China-Thailand High-speed Railway, and is undertook by China Construction Co., Ltd. . Section 4-3 is located in Ayutthaya in the northern part of Bangkok. It is about 23 kilometers long and all sections are viaduct structures. At present, all test piles have been completed in sections 4-3, 90% of the ground survey work has been completed, and the experimental beams have been prefabricated.
China-Thailand High-speed Railway is a flagship project for the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" between China and Thailand. The project starts from Bangkok, Thailand in the south and ends at the north and connects with the China-Laos Railway , forming a major channel directly to Kunming, China, which will effectively drive Thailand's infrastructure construction and economic and social development.
China-Thailand High-speed Railway is Thailand's first high-speed railway, and it is also the first high-speed railway project in the world to use the Chinese high-speed railway design standards and is funded by the country's own funding.
The first phase of the China-Thailand High-speed Railway is about 253 kilometers long, connecting Bangkok and Kortarakhstan. The viaduct track line is 181.94 kilometers long, the ground track line is 63.95 kilometers long, and the tunnel line is 6.44 kilometers long. There are 6 high-speed railway stations along the way, with a maximum designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The second phase of the China-Thailand High-speed Railway will extend from Korat to Lungkai adjacent to Laos .
Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Han Zhiqiang said that China and Thailand should vigorously develop cooperation in the field of connectivity. The China-Laos Railway has been opened, and the China-Thailand High-speed Railway is under construction. In the future, a new railway artery running through Indochina Peninsula will be built. By then, China and Thailand will have integrated economic development, close personnel exchanges, shared prosperity and progress, and Thai friends can take the high-speed rail to China.
