China News Service Chengdu, October 25 (Reporter Liu Zhongjun) At noon on the 25th, a large four-engine drone code-named "Two-tailed Scorpion D" landed safely and smoothly on the runway of Fengming Navigation Airport in Zigong, Sichuan, marking that my country's commercial medium and large-scale drone industry has entered the fast lane of development.
It is understood that this "two-tailed Scorpion D" large four-engine drone was independently developed by Sichuan Tengdun Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and has complete intellectual property rights. The "Two-tailed Scorpion D" that successfully flew this time is a new support and support product developed based on the two-tailed Scorpion series drone platform. "Two-tailed Scorpion D" large four-engine UAV with wingspan of 20 meters, length of 10.5 meters, height of 3.1 meters, maximum take-off weight of 4.35 tons, maximum load weight of 1.5 tons, and maximum load space of 5 cubic meters. The drone is configured with four engines and generators, allowing the "Two-tailed Scorpion D" to maintain the existing advantages of the two-tailed Scorpion series drone, with greater loading space, heavier loading capacity, stronger power supply, higher system reliability, and flight safety. It can carry more high-performance mission loads and perform support and support tasks such as cargo logistics, aviation spreading, and mission payload use.
It is reported that the successive launch of the two-tailed Scorpion series drones has further enriched the application scenarios of my country's commercial large-scale drones, and also marks that my country's large-scale drone industry has the ability to quickly develop and respond to different market demands. The "Two-tailed Scorpion D" large four-engine drone that successfully flew will then quickly transfer to participate in the 14th China International Aeronautics and Space Expo held in Zhuhai. (End)
