According to Taiwan United News Network, on the 17th and 18th local time, there were continuous strong earthquakes in eastern Taiwan, causing the wall of the urn of Nagu Tower in Luye Township, Taitung County to collapse, and about 1,000 urns were damaged, making it difficult to distinguish between the ashes. What to deal with in the future has caused concerns among family members, and the local government said it would consider handling it in a joint tablet or environmentally friendly burial method.

It is reported that the urn tower in Luye Township was built about 20 years ago and is 3 floors high, with a total of 2,200 counters placed in urns.
Zhong Qingbai, director of the Civil Affairs Department of Taitung County Government, said that the earthquake on the evening of the 17th caused the bone skull cabinet to collapse, and about 800 urns were damaged. On the afternoon of the 18th, another strong earthquake caused the damage to intensify, with a total of about 1,000 damage.
Zhong Qingbai said that there are three situations for disasters and damage in the bone tower. The first is that the bone cabinet is inclined and the urn is not broken. Just fix the bone cabinet and repair it and strengthen the shockproof. This is easier than comparison.
Another type is that the urn is broken but not mixed with other ashes. The urn will be repurchased in the township to resettle.
But Zhong Qingbai said that the most serious thing is that most urns break after the collapse of the urns, and it is difficult to distinguish between the ashes. After discussion with Li Guoqiang, the mayor of Luye Township, the township office stated that it would notify the family to hold a coordination meeting, hold a spiritual consolation meeting, and then handle it through joint tablets or environmentally friendly burial methods.
At present, the township office calls on the people to wait for the preliminary sorting before coming to claim it.
