Ukrainian President Volokimir Zelensky said Tuesday that Russia's attack on the country's energy infrastructure means "very conscious use of electricity" is still needed, especially during peak electricity use. "We are working hard to speed up the restoration work whenever possible," he said. He said Russia’s “climb to Tehran” to seek weapons support was a sign of weakness. "We must remember that the fact that Russia requires Iran to provide such aid is precisely the Kremlin acknowledged its military and political bankruptcy," he said. "Strategically, this will not help them anyway. It will only further prove to the world that Russia is heading towards an end and trying to get others involved in its terror accomplices," the Ukrainian president said. More background: Reuters quoted two Iranian officials and two Iranian diplomats earlier on Tuesday as saying Iran has promised to provide Russia with surface-to-surface missiles and more drones. Reuters said the promises came after several Iranian officials visited Moscow in October. The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied that Iran was sending weapons to Russia for its use in Ukraine. Pentagon spokesman and Brigadier General Patrick Ryder said he had seen the reports, but "there is no information to confirm"
