Vietnam VCS, as a strong division with only two global finals seats below the four major competition areas, has left many impressive chapters in the development history of the League of Legends events. However, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the VCS team has missed two consecutive games between the Global Finals and the Mid-Season Championship, and it was not until the Mid-Season Championship held in South Korea this year that it finally got the chance to participate. The Vietnamese national team composed of GAM players ruthlessly swept all competitors to win gold medals in Southeast Asian Games , which makes people look forward to them being able to participate in the 2022 Global Finals at the end of the year.
GAM team beat SGB and won the VCS championship for two consecutive seasons this year. According to the rules of the global finals, they will directly enter the S12 main stage and be assigned to Group C in the lottery ceremony, and are divided into the same group as TES and RGE. In order to commemorate the hard-won qualifying for the 2022 Global Finals, the GAM team recently launched a new team uniform with the theme of the World Championship. The overall new team uniform adopts a black and gold color scheme, and the design is very stunning.
Due to the influence of local policies, the two participating teams, GAM and SGB, have been affected to varying degrees by visa issues. Recently, the official announcement of the GAM team was updated, saying that 6 of the 8 players have been confirmed to have obtained visas to North America, and we have great hopes to see the performance of full-scale GAM in the S12 group stage. In contrast, GAM's brother SGB is in a more embarrassing situation. They still have three of their starting players who have not obtained visas yet, and there is less than a week left before the final visa approval and the time window for rushing to North America.
