According to Taiwan media reports, the camp of Miaoli County Mayor Zhong Dongjin, an independent Miaoli County Mayor, held a press conference on the 24th, directly pointing out that the Kuomintang candidate Xie Fuhong secretly met with former "Legislative Yuan" Su Jiaquan and betrayed the Kuomintang and turned against the green camp. Xie Fuhong refuted Zhong’s camp’s intrigue and retorted that Zhong Dongjin had a lot of past records. Now he made up a fictional plot and intended to differentiate the Kuomintang. He called on Zhong to first explain his past records.
Zhong camp invited former Xihu Township Farmers Association Chairman Xiao Junyi and Sanyi Township Representative Lin Yingfu to testify. Xiao Junyi and Lin Yingfu said that on January 4, 2020, they received a call from former county governor Fu Xuepeng and went to Su Jiaquan for dinner at the mansion home. During the meal, Su bluntly said that he supported Tsai Ing-wen's re-election and gave local resources. Since the attendees included Xie Fuhong and many of them were local leaders of the Blue Army, they were surprised, and Fu Xuepeng even asked not to take photos.
Zhong Dongjin's election headquarters executive director Xu Tingcong said that Fu Xuepeng had a good relationship with the Green Camp Party and Government officials and Liu Zhenghong had helped the Green Camp to assist in the election. It is well known to everyone in the local area that two witnesses in the secret meeting have been clearly evidenced. After Xie participated in the secret meeting, he became the director of the Miaoli Management Department of the Farmland Water Resources Department, a member of the Democratic Progressive Party, at the end of September of the same year, which made people questioned that Xie's camp was simply "blue skin and green bones", and only outside the situation of the senior Kuomintang.
Xie Fuhong retorted that he had never committed to the DPP in his life. The naughty tales of Zhong Dongjin's camp were as true. He believed that Zhong Dongjin had been exposed because of violent crimes, numerous criminal records, and illegal operation of sand and gravel. Now that he could not find the attack point, he fabricated these plots to smear, attempting to tear the Kuomintang apart and divide him and Han Kuo-yu.
Xie Fuhong emphasized that there is no secret meeting or betrayal, and polite visits are common. Moreover, when Tsai Ing-wen visited Miaoli, Zhong Dong-jin also welcomed her warmly. Zhong's camp now talked about the public meeting as a "secret meeting", which is a pity. Moreover, he assisted Han Kuo-yu in the election two years ago.
