Baoxi Township is located in the western frontier of Longquan City, located in the border area of Zhejiang and Fujian Province. It is one of the most remote townships in Longquan City. Baoxi Township is surrounded by mountains, with fresh air and pleasant climate, with a forest coverage rate of 88.3%. There are many waterfalls and pools in the area. It is known as the "natural oxygen bar" and "a place to bathe with mineral water". It is an excellent place to escape the summer heat and cool off in summer.
The Piyun Mountain in Baoxi is 1,680 meters above sea level. It has high mountains and deep valleys and abundant rainfall. It is named after it is rare to have no Piyun all year round. This is also the birthplace of Oujiang River, Minjiang River and Qiantang River, with rich natural and cultural landscapes. Check-in international building complex in Xiaoshan Village
When you come to Baoxi, you must not miss the internet celebrity check-in point here - Baoxi International Bamboo Buildings.
The 16 bamboo buildings in this complex were completed by 11 architects from eight countries: the United States, China, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam. They are quietly located in the embrace of the mountains, facing the quaint villages across the stream and blending with the green mountains and green waters. They seem to be like "growing out of the soil of Baoxi", which is quite spectacular. The entrance of the building complex is a double spiral stone arch bridge. Through this bridge, it seems to pass through a time tunnel, dividing the world into two, half of which are the beautiful mountains of Jiangnan and half are the Eastern Shenyin of bamboo.

Immortal Dragon Kiln Fire under the coolness
Do you know? Baoxi is also an important inheritance of the "traditional firing technology of Longquan celadon" in human intangible cultural heritage. There are 13 well-preserved ancient dragon kilns in Baoxi Township, which is the largest ancient dragon kiln group in the world.
"Dragon Kiln" is not the name of the kiln, but the shape of the kiln. It is named after it is built on the mountain and looks like a lying dragon. It is the main form of celadon firing in Longquan celadon. It has been passed down for thousands of years and has not yet been extinguished. Almost every month, a traditional kiln opening ceremony is held in Baoxi Township.

In Xitou Village in Baoxi, there is also a B&B with the theme of dragon kiln celadon. This is not only a homestay, but also a living museum. The B&B still retains this dragon kiln rebuilt in the 1980s - Jinpin Kiln. The B&B is the eighth generation descendant of this kiln. The B&B also has a celadon exhibition hall and a celadon hand-made experience area. If you want to learn about celadon culture at all times, you might as well stay at this B&B for a few days.
