Tsai Ing-wen won the election. Cross-strait relations will be as many mainland netizens are worried: Is there no hope of peaceful development and peaceful reunification?
To answer this question, we must first understand the reason why Tsai Ing-wen won the election.
First of all, Tsai Ing-wen uses the resources to control the ruling ruling to manipulate the election. None of the leaders of Taiwan before stepped down after one term, so we see that Tsai Ing-wen has done her best in this election and has to "protect her full son" since the DPP's primary election, and has been "sharp and bones" and is not ruthless to her own comrades, not to mention that when competing with the Kuomintang, Tsai Ing-wen combines the conditions of "complete rule" and uses both soft and hard. "Soft" tricks include: spending a lot of money, buying tickets, and buying online soldiers to attack opponents in the dark... "Hard" tricks include: "continuously "revising the law" creates a "green terror" atmosphere in Taiwan society in all aspects. Under her high pressure, as long as Taiwanese people who go to the mainland may be convicted, as long as media criticizing the Taiwan authorities may be shut down, and as long as they support unification is "traitor"... This election has become "the dirtiest election in Taiwan's history" under the manipulation of Tsai Ing-wen's team.
Secondly, Tsai Ing-wen operated and used all the external forces she could use in the election. For example, the United States says that the United States regards Taiwan as a "chess piece", but who can say that the United States is not a "chess piece" in Tsai Ing-wen's election? In this election where the shadow of US intervention can be seen everywhere, Tsai Ing-wen has always forgotten to cheat everywhere under the sign of "US support". This trick is very useful to many Taiwanese people who don't know the truth. For example, the Hong Kong incident was also used by Tsai Ing-wen to create hostility to the mainland in the island society. Tsai Ing-wen also tasted a lot of sweetness by smearing the "one country, two systems" and spreading rumors to attack the mainland.
As for the third reason why Tsai Ing-wen was able to win the election, it was the points given by her political enemy, the Kuomintang. The Kuomintang’s “internal fighting among internal officials and external fighting among outsiders” is even more obvious to all. In contrast, the DPP, which is good at manipulating elections, has always been "winning the election above everything else". Even Lai Ching-te, who was "uncommon with Tsai Ing-wen during the primary election, could compromise and become Tsai's deputy. In comparison, the Kuomintang still failed to complete the true integration of its strength at the last moment.
Tsai Ing-wen did win the election, but behind the "scenery" of , there is probably only temporary compliment, and there are many "pain points" that belong to the DPP still exist.
First, Tsai Ing-wen's victory cannot cover up, nor can it solve the inherent contradictions in Taiwan's economy and people's livelihood. If the DPP authorities continue to divide Taiwan society and continue to fight with the mainland to deteriorate cross-strait relations, the ultimate harm will only be the welfare of the Taiwanese people, and Taiwan's future will only continue to sink downward, and the DPP will eventually be severely punished by history.
Secondly, over the years, the mainland has been unswerving in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and has been striving for peaceful reunification with the greatest sincerity. After countless battles with "Taiwan independence", it has long been proved that the mainland has the ability to curb "Taiwan independence". To this day, Taiwanese society has formed a collective consciousness that cannot be "independent". If the DPP misjudgment of the situation and takes risks, it will inevitably suffer a catastrophe.
Third, no matter how troubles or chaos are made on Taiwan’s island, the mainland has always maintained its own determination and rhythm, and always puts “doing your own thing” first. At the commemoration meeting of the 40th anniversary of the publication of the "Message to Compatriots in Taiwan", General Secretary Xi Jinping made a loud statement that "the motherland must be unified and must be unified. This is a historical conclusion of the 70-year development process of cross-strait relations and an inevitable requirement for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era." In the future, we will continue to conscientiously implement the central government's policies on the National Taiwan Affairs Bureau. The timetable for cross-strait reunification is ultimately on the mainland.
In short, this is just an election in Taiwan, and it cannot change the fact that both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the same China. In the future, the pattern of "strong land and weak Taiwan" between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will further expand. Tsai Ing-wen's re-election still cannot resolve the deep-seated contradictions in the development of Taiwan's society, economy, and people's livelihood, and Taiwan's elections cannot have a decisive impact on cross-strait relations.The dominance of cross-strait relations is still in the hands of the mainland of the motherland. As long as the mainland continues to deepen the integration and development of cross-strait and persists in seeking the welfare of compatriots on both sides of the strait, the foundation of peaceful reunification can be continuously consolidated. The mainland has the confidence, determination and ability to curb "Taiwan independence" and promote the goal of peaceful reunification. This goal has not changed so far, and there is no need to change it. After all, peaceful development and peaceful reunification are the best choices that are most in line with the interests and well-being of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait; after all, both "time" and "momentum" are on the mainland!
