Enlarged Playground
Toys carry the imagination, and the toys of childhood eventually become the cornerstone of dreams and ambitions. In the middle of the Louvre Square (Cour Carrée du Louvre), there is a giant children's toy racing track, which is like a playground enlarged several times. The track paved with yellow bricks carries boundless imagination: the road to spiritual evolution and childlike fantasy. Recovery here. This series shows the transformation from innocence to maturity, sublimating the image of childhood through Louis Vuitton exquisite craftsmanship. The overall outline of the show set is composed of a large number of arcs, cleverly using miniature sizes to represent the "childhood wardrobe" and giant sizes to represent the "adult wardrobe", and paying homage to the dress code of the traditional skateboard community in the 1990s. Iconic elements from the playground are used to embellish the clothing and accessories: origami airplanes, building block beads, plasticine textures and colors, cartoon prints and sand digging tool accessories. The pieces evoke the toys found in playgrounds and the emotions inherent in growing up.
A parade of ideas
Parade celebrations are an excellent way to show the spirit of Louis Vuitton. For a long time, Louis Vuitton managers have used their imagination to empathize with and share their joy with audiences around the world. On the toy track that was enlarged several times during the 2023 spring and summer men's wear show, The Marching 100, the Florida A&M University marching band in Tallahassee, founded in 1946, took the lead in leading the parade that symbolized childhood dreams. Various flags were flying at the scene, and the flag patterns demonstrated Louis Vuitton's accuracy and values, representing the global community that transcends national boundaries and diversity. Under the music, the soundtrack of the parade blended freely with the clothing itself: two SpeakerMan show looks integrated some wireless speakers into the backpack and connected to the show sound system. The above set demonstrates the eclectic nature of sound and the harmonious nature of loudspeaker culture, while echoing the noise music favored by members of the Louis Vuitton Men's Ready-to-Wear atelier, where a loudspeaker is stored in every corner.
French romance
French romance is a classic design element of Louis Vuitton, and it also runs through the creation of this series. Fields of flowers - timeless images of harmony in diversity - are transformed into tapestry and prints through Impressionist paintings to embellish garments; thistle patterns appear in a range of fabrics, prints and embroidery pieces. The thistle symbolizes resilience and healing, and is used to inspire people to overcome difficulties. This thorny plant also echoes the decorative bouquets of Louis Vuitton in Asnières. The delicate floral paintings on the ceilings of the former residence echo the palatial interior cornices of Parisian architecture. Embodying our childhood dreams—fairy tales, kings, whimsy—these thread-like embellishments are found in leather tailoring and bags, and shine in delicate lace garments. Photo montage combines urban elements and brand classics - Pont Neuf, Damier check, interior cornices - throughout the collection as a tribute to Paris.
Arts and Crafts
The motivation to transform imagination into creation stems from childhood objects: toys, building blocks and tools for the sandbox. As we grow into adulthood, childhood objects help transform ideas into reality. This collection draws on Louis Vuitton’s signature craftsmanship to present this transformation both visually and literally. Children's building blocks and plasticine elements decorate the garments and accessories, while toolbox components - such as scissors, tweezers and clips - adorn the garments in the form of three-dimensional embroidered pendants. The above patterns are a tribute to the expert craftsmen of Louis Vuitton's ateliers and symbolize the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into creating this collection, from the selection of fabrics to hand embroidery, hand beading, hand crochet, shibori and fine leather molding, as well as various Technological innovations such as electrostatic fabric and the SpeakerMan backpack made of real and 3D printed speakers.
Movie Prologue: "Unusual Mathematics" (Strange Math)

Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2023 men's show opened with a film prologue screened for an online audience. The film prologue "Strange Math" directed by Ephraim Asili aims to explore the relationship between imagination and reality, echoing the core theme of this series. The film depicts the creative experience of a music composer from a scientific perspective, equating music creation with scientific discovery. Exploring the inner world of a composer - activating his imagination to create things that never existed or made sense - is the equivalent of an astrophysicist exploring outer space. Music creation, whether through notes or instruments, is a manifestation of imagination integrating into life. By targeting specific frequencies, we can break through environmental constraints and turn myth into reality. Ephraim Asili is an African-American artist, filmmaker, DJ, and radio host who serves as an associate professor in the Department of Film and Electronic Arts at Bard College. He was deeply influenced by hip-hop music, Hollywood movies and television. While studying at Temple University, he co-created the documentary "Points on a Space Age" (2007) with Sun Ra Archestra and received a bachelor's degree in film production. degree in , and then received a master's degree in from Bard College.
Soundtrack
At the Louis Vuitton 2023 spring and summer men's wear show, the soundtrack sounded slowly, and then the movie prologue "Strange Math" slowly began, and the live performers arrived gracefully and entered the show. The soundtrack, directed by Sun Ra Arkestra, gradually transitions into Marching 100's live performance. Founded in 1946, the marching band from Florida A&M University in Lahassee presented a carefully choreographed performance with a special guest who performed four original numbers. Upcycling Concepts
The upcycled looks in this collection are divided into three categories:
A. New styles made with materials recycled from stock.
B. New styles based on upgrading existing ideas.
C. Styles that have appeared in previous seasons are reinterpreted.
The "Upcycling Concept" attempts to free our minds from outdated images that lead to overload, overproduction and waste. With each new storyline, Louis Vuitton changes its traditional approach and incorporates it into the new collection. Today, each collection is made up of “pieces that shape the look” rather than “the look that contains the pieces.” According to the upcycling concept, clothing can be recycled, upcycled, or even reissued in its original form. Creativity, the source of fashion, is no longer a one-off product, but part of an eternal cycle of inspirations, principles and values that constantly illuminate and expand our ethos. Ideas – the foundation of fashion – are no longer disposable but part of an eternal cycle of inspiration, code and value that continues to illuminate and expand our ethos. Fashion seasons of the past no longer exist as separate entities but are unified by a set of laws. No more out of season talk. In a fast-paced and fleeting time, repetition equals documentation: gestures made and lessons learned. This collection showcases three upcycling techniques in fabrics, techniques and themes.

Ready-to-wear
Loose woolen designs with multiple color-blocked pockets interpret the concept of accessory-mutated workwear. The bibs that adorn the mid-layer garment are constructed of multi-layered bonded Monogram canvas. The belt in Monogram printed or embossed leather is equipped with a crystal and enamel LV buckle decorated with a thistle pattern; the matte leather version is equipped with a linear pattern metal buckle. The biker jacket features an exaggerated look that pays homage to a look common in music videos from the 1980s.Work uniforms transformed into garments far removed from their original functions: trousers transformed into floor-length work skirts, jumpsuits transformed into dyed canvas maxi skirts. Cartoon prints pay homage to classic childhood stories, adorning the technical canvas windbreaker in hand-drawn form. Suits and coats in crackled-effect patent leather with patent-coated lining.
Louis Vuitton floral patterns are hand-crocheted and embellished on suit cuffs or patchworked on baseball jackets, bomber jackets and shirts. Denim designs incorporate rainbow Monogram jacquards, jacquard washed effects and distressed overprints, as well as a Paris photo montage print on discharge-dyed denim pieces. The flower field pattern pays homage to French Impressionism and appears in the form of a ombre-patterned brocade chenille coat and a down jacket embroidered with the same pattern throughout. It can be printed on mulberry silk crepe embroidered draped pajamas, or woven to embellish knitted tops. Exquisite tie-dyeing technology reproduces the Louis Vuitton floral logo. Notched seams add elegance to the trimmings of elongated handkerchief jackets, trousers and shorts, while paying homage to the craftsmanship of suit tailoring and the craftsmanship of children. Tailored robe with shoulder pads and side fastenings for an elegant yet comfortable fit.
Knitted pieces interpret this season’s theme in the form of chunky pullovers with thistles, cartoons and puzzle patterns, yarn tops wrapped with multi-colored pom poms, and knitted tops with flower fields. Sporty elements appear in brushed mohair rugby polo shirts painted with a hazy rainbow pattern, refined nylon and merino tops with intarsia embellishments and protective skate padding, and crisp, puffy sheers in air nylon spun In the jumper. Linear patterned welting, reminiscent of the ceilings of Parisian palaces, now appears on white leather blouson jackets and white leather coats. Tailored suits with multiple buttonholes can be worn with any look and feature draped, curved lines. Paper airplanes appear in leather, all over formal suiting, in a nod to the theme of childhood that runs throughout the collection.
Paris photo montage captures elements of Paris and the Louis Vuitton logo, such as linear patterns, Damier checks and Pont Neuf patterns, transformed into jacquard elements in tailoring, printed elements in discharge-dyed denim, and washed mulberry silk Prints on pajamas and robes. Racing jackets and motocross skirts are made from intarsia leather, creating a swirling pattern that creates a distorted “visual blur” effect. Semi-casual tailoring style, made of viscose mulberry silk or velvet, retaining the shoulder pad design to create a neat figure, making the suit jacket look like a hoodie. The shirt is styled with a tiered collar and toy beading accents the tie hem for a break from traditional wardrobe styles.
skirts embody elegance and toughness: tiered ruffled skirts made of muslin, intarsia leather motocross skirts and skirts with a strong workwear feel. Horizontal football, basketball and baseball sweatshirts were transformed into elongated dresses and numbered "00", echoing Louis Vuitton's classic jersey numbers. Electrostatic fabric is used to create technical coats and select workwear. When in contact with electricity, the fabric shrinks and moves around, effectively creating a custom shape on the body. The silhouette of the suit is sometimes loose and sometimes tight, corresponding to the concepts of "childhood clothing" and "adult clothing" respectively. Suits with side ties on trousers and jackets echo the curved lines of loose denim trousers. Kevlar technical fabric is used to create outerwear with patch pockets.
The thistle pattern pays homage to the atelier bouquets of Louis Vuitton’s Asnières house and is presented in many ways in this season’s works: using flat velvet to create coats, shorts, skirts and overalls; woven to create painted 3D tiles Printed terry workwear; sculptural jacquard chenille for coats and suits; jacquard velvet crepe for robes, pajamas and coats; jacquard polka dots for coats, suits and shorts; printed crepe mulberry silk for bomber jackets; Decorative jacquards adorn pajamas; hand-embroidered tulle trousers; embroidery and intarsia on knitted separates; cross-stitching on trousers and shirts with machine-stitched Rachelle lace.
The tie-dye process is once again a classic element of Louis Vuitton, appearing in the tile and thistle patterns on workwear and suits. The Louis Vuitton floral pattern is carefully outlined using the shibori dyeing process and blooms on the Damier pattern of the lace shirt. Tile patterns refer to the floors of the Parisian palace, and are presented on well-tailored suits through tie-dye technology and thistle patterns. Toolbox and tool graphics pay homage to creation and healing, appearing as flat and 3D embroideries on shirts and suits, or as embroidered drapes on suits, workwear and knitwear. Workwear silhouettes reference classic attire from the 1990s skate community.
Accessories
Beanies are made from glass beads, hand-crocheted with a Monogram floral pattern and beaded tassels, or knitted with three-point stitching. bucket hat features a wide shoelace-like hat cord decorated with resin toy beads painted with Louis Vuitton letters and numbers; other bucket hats are made from tie-dyed fur. A large number of colorful flags decorate the entire body. Hats are decorated with large embroidery patterns in tie-dye and sandwashed effects, or are embellished entirely by hand with cross-stitch and beading. The design of the glasses is inspired by insect images such as dragonflies and bumblebees in cartoon animations. The new Four Motion glasses add anti-fog details, are equipped with nose pads, adjusters and temple extension accessories. Evidence sunglasses launch a new Futurama version, showing the collection's plasticine pattern, and Millionaire sunglasses launch a new plasticine colorway. The hatband of the felt hat is decorated with character dolls, making the hat look particularly wide. Leather gloves feature an embossed thread pattern that echoes the cornices of the Parisian palace ceilings featured in the collection. The headband is hand-crocheted to echo the collection's colorful tones.
Crystal and enamel jewelry interpret the thistle flower pattern in this series. Necklaces and rings feature a large Louis Vuitton pendant with a thistle pattern on a crystal-encrusted chain made of lacquered crystal. A Louis Vuitton floral pattern adds charm to a wide multi-color friendship bracelet and necklace, connected by a chain or braided climbing rope. An origami leather "paper hat" echoes the collection's childhood theme. The sail made of printed nylon echoes the parachute fabric and can be created into a sarong style apron shape. Handmade crochet scarves come in the collection's colorful tones or are recreated based on football scarf patterns. Skateboards and LV comic graphics appear together on the bag. Padded nylon hat with space antenna pattern in cartoon print or block colors. Resin toy beads are used to decorate belts, shoes, shoelaces and hat strings.

Louis Vuitton’s Le Boyhood collection presents new large-size sneakers made of leather, with wide laces and TPU outsoles. Available in a range of contrasting colorways, the laces are finished with silicone blocks or large beads. The LV Baroque is a grained leather boot with stitched inlays on the toe and tongue and threaded pattern embroidery on the outsole. Available in bright green, heron white and castle gray colorways. LV Baroque loafers are made of leather and feature an EVA outsole with an embossed line pattern. One style has a metallic luster linear pattern buckle with a black/heron white/castle gray mirror leather shoe body, and the other style has a crackle effect buckle with a fluorescent yellow crackle leather shoe body. The LV Sabot series presents a new sandal, which combines the elements of classic clogs with the style of millennium sneakers. The lightweight EVA rubber upper and TPU outsole exude elegance. The LV Texan series launches the new cowboy boots , which are produced in Louis Vuitton's workshop in Ranch Rochambeau, Texas, USA.Made of leather fabric and paired with a lightweight leather outsole, it is available in five colorways, each decorated with different hand-embroidered patterns to represent native Texas flowers and iconic elements.
