The venue is equipped with internationally standardized locker rooms, player lounges, showers, toilets, head coach rooms and assistant coach rooms for participating teams; an independent referee conference room and a referee scoring room with high-altitude vision on the third floor of the baseball stadium to ensure the game progressed smoothly.
In September 2018, Zhongshan’s bid delegation went to Japan and successfully obtained the right to host the second Asian Cup Women’s Baseball Championship at the Asian Baseball Federation Executive Committee. As the highest level women's baseball competition in Asia, this event will have a total of 8 professional women's baseball teams from Japan, South Korea, India, Philippines , Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and China.
The theme of the 2nd Asian Cup Women's Baseball Championship is "Wonderful Baseball, Charming Zhongshan". The competition aims to show the city scenery of Zhongshan and the cultural features of the hometown of great men, and create a city sports business card.
