Because the two often come into contact with each other frequently at work, they have confirmed their relationship over and over again. In May 1928, 35-year-old Chairman Mao married 19-year-old He Zizhen in Jinggangshan.
The second year of marriage, due to the needs of revolutionary work, He Zizhen, who was pregnant, followed Chairman Mao to the south to the Fujian-Western District, preparing to open up a new base.
When he arrived in Longyan, Fujian on the way, He Zizhen gave birth to her and Chairman Mao’s first child, the eldest daughter Mao Jinhua, in a local church hospital.

Yang Yuehua and his group had no choice but to turn to He Minxue's home in Fuzhou. He Minxue recognized his niece in his first meeting when he saw Yang Yuehua. Since then, he has always claimed to be his uncle, which has also been confirmed by He Minxue's daughter He Xiaoping.
Later, under the organization's arrangement, Yang Yuehua and her husband came to Beijing to see Chairman Mao, but after some twists and turns, they never saw Chairman Mao. Instead, they were asked to leave Beijing immediately.
