Peng Dehuai, Huang Gonglue, and Li Can were admitted to the Hunan Army Lecture Hall together in 1922, and graduated the following year and returned to serve in the Hunan Army. Of the three, only Peng Dehuai witnessed the founding of New China. In January 1930, Huang Gonglue was transferred to the commander of the 6th Red Army. On September 15, 1931, he led his troops to participate in the Fangshiling pursuit battle and annihilated the 52nd Division of the Chinese Kuomintang Army and other units. On the way to transfer the commanding troops, Huang Gonglue was attacked by enemy planes at Liudu Col in Donggu, Ji'an. He was shot several times and died heroically at the age of 33. Li Can served as the commander of the Eighth Red Army in 1930. Later, due to physical discomfort, the organization decided to let him go to Shanghai for treatment in 1931. In 1932, he was betrayed by a traitor and died in Shanghai. Peng Dehuai was awarded the founding marshal in 1955.

Later, he entered the Peasant Movement Institute hosted by Mao Zedong in Guangzhou and participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the Hunan-Kiangxi border led by Mao Zedong in 1927. When the uprising troops were in " Sanwan", Zhang Ziqing was appointed as the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 1st Regiment of the 1st Division of the 1st Army of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army. On May 4, 1928, the Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was proclaimed in Long City, with three divisions under its jurisdiction. Zhang Ziqing was appointed commander of the 11th Division and commander of the 31st Regiment. Later, he was injured in the battle. There was a shortage of doctors and medicines in the army. He didn't even have salt water for disinfection, let alone alcohol. The wounds festered and worsened. In May 1930, he finally died of his injuries and died in the south of Yongxin County. In order to commemorate this outstanding revolutionary martyr, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China rebuilt the martyr's tomb in Donghua Mountain, Yongxin County in 1981.
