When Jidenimagon and his party arrived in Ali in a hurry, they were lucky enough to be taken in by a local leader and married his daughter to Jidenimagon so that he could inherit the throne. After taking over Ali, Jidenimagon did not disappoint. He led the army to expand the territory, open up commercial trade, strengthen economic development, and divided the territory among his three sons in his later years.
Among them, his youngest son Dezugu became the founding head of the Guge Dynasty. It was the third-generation ruler Songai who really brought the Guge Dynasty back on track and into its heyday. At that time, the Guge Dynasty ruled over the entire territory of Ngari, with a large population and flourishing Buddhism.
So, why did the prosperous and powerful Guge Dynasty suddenly disappear?
