Zhang Wenqiu was pregnant at the time, and Liu Qianchu named his unborn daughter "Siqi" in prison, which means: I miss my homeland and Qilu.
Liu Qianchu and Zhang Wenqiu were both Comrade Mao Zedong’s comrades who experienced life and death together during the Anti-Japanese War.
When Comrade Mao Zedong attended the Fifth Congress of the Communist Party of China in Wuhan, he learned about the marriage of Zhang Wenqiu and Liu Qianchu, and happily said to her: If you give birth to a daughter, we will become in-laws .

In 1931, he invaded the three northeastern provinces of China and established Manchukuo. Liu Siqi's mother, Zhang Wenqiu, fled with little Siqi to avoid the war. After many twists and turns, they came to Yan'an.

In 1938, Mao Zedong met Liu Siqi, who was 8 years old at the time, while watching the drama "The Outcast" in the auditorium of the Yan'an Central Party School.

Meeting Mao Anying for the first time and confirming their relationship
In 1946, Zhang Wenqiu and her son were detained by the warlords and returned to Yan'an. When Chairman Mao saw Liu Siqi again, he had changed from an innocent little girl to a slim girl.
One day in May 1948, Liu Siqi went to Chairman Mao's house to play. On the way back, he met Mao Anying on the slope of the Yangjialing cave dwelling where Chairman Mao's family lived.

Later Liu Siqi recalled: When he first met him, he was very easy-going, polite and had no airs. Although he had stayed in the Soviet Union for a long time, he still spoke Chinese fluently.

When he saw me at that time, he could not remember the specific details. He only remembered that I had a pair of big eyes.
In 1948, Liu Siqi went to Xibaipo to visit Chairman Mao and happened to meet Mao Anying.
Mao Anying talked about dialectical materialism and historical materialism with Liu Siqi and Li Na. He talked about it until very late. It was not until Liu Siqi and Li Na were so sleepy that Mao Anying left.
In this way, the relationship between Mao Anying and Liu Siqi also underwent a transformation .
Liu Siqi said that Mao Anying is a person with a frank personality . His pursuit of love is also very clear, bold and unobtrusive, and his approach to love is also very different.

Liu Siqi later recalled that the chairman at that time hoped that she could start studying from middle school, and Mao Anying also told her that Liu Siqi should be able to study step by step.
Mao Anying hoped that Liu Siqi could learn basic knowledge well so that he could study with him in politics in the future. Otherwise, it would be difficult for the relationship between the two to enter the next stage.
Under the guidance of Chairman Mao and Mao Anying, Liu Siqi decided to start from middle school textbooks.
In countless communications with Mao Anying, he always had strict demands on himself.
It stands to reason that boys should try their best to cover up their shortcomings in front of their girlfriends, but Mao Anying told Liu Siqi all his shortcomings and repeatedly told Liu Siqi to carefully consider their relationship.
Later, Liu Siqi went to study at Yucai Middle School near Xibaipo. It was during this time that her relationship with Mao Anying became public.

In 1948, Mao Anying took the initiative to propose to Mao Zedong to marry Liu Siqi, but was unexpectedly rejected by Mao Zedong.

Chairman Mao said, however, that according to the marriage law stipulated at that time, the woman was not allowed to get married when she was under the age of 18, and the man was under 20 years old. Even Mao Zedong's son was no exception.
On October 15, 1949, Mao Anying and Liu Siqi held a relatively simple wedding. Guests attending the wedding that day included Zhou Enlai, Deng Yingchao, Zhu De, Kang Keqing, Cai Chang, Liu Shaoqi, Dong Biwu and others.
Judging from the guest list, it should be regarded as the highest-standard wedding in history.
However, since there is no wedding team, no gift money is confiscated, and there are no three matchmakers or six hires, this can be regarded as the lowest scene of and wedding.

An Ying went to North Korea and died heroically
In September 1950, the United States invaded North Korea. The war burned to the Yalu River and violated our border with China.
In order to protect the homeland and the country, the Party Central Committee decided to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea .
There is a plot in the movie " Changjin Lake ". Mao Anying found Commander-in-Chief Peng Dehuai and asked to join the war in North Korea.
Peng Dehuai rejected him on the grounds that his younger brother Mao Anlong was lost and Mao Anqing was ill , and wanted Mao Anying to stay with his father.
Mao Anying said that hundreds of thousands of children of ordinary people went to the battlefield without hesitation as soon as they heard the order to defend the motherland. As the son of Chairman Mao, how could I escape.
At this time, Comrade Mao Zedong heard their conversation and said to Commander-in-Chief Peng, let Anying go.

October 14, 1950 was Mao Anying's last day in Beijing. After completing her work, Mao Anying went to the hospital and said goodbye to his wife Liu Siqi, who had been married for just one year.
Because the work he was engaged in was confidential, Mao Anying did not tell his wife where he was going.
On October 19, 1950, Mao Anying followed Commander-in-Chief Peng Dehuai to the Korean battlefield.
On November 25, 1950, when Mao Anying was collecting materials at the headquarters, the headquarters was bombed by hundreds of napalm bombs from enemy aircraft. Suddenly, the sky was filled with fire and thick smoke billowing, and the headquarters became a sea of fire.
Mao Anying was unfortunately buried inside.
One month after Mao Anying's death, Chairman Mao learned of the death of his son.
After knowing the truth, he acted suddenly. He wanted to smoke a cigarette but could not find a matchbox. Upon seeing this, the staff next to him quickly picked up the matchbox on the table and helped the chairman light his cigarette.

Faced with the death of his son, he himself was already grieving deeply, so how could he bear to tell his daughter-in-law, who had just been married to his son , .
In this way, Chairman Mao concealed the news of Anying's death from his daughter-in-law. This concealment lasted for three years .
Siqi learned the truth and recalled the past
On an ordinary day in 1956, Liu Siqi received a photo from Hou Bo, which showed Mao Anying wearing the uniform of the Korean People's Volunteer Army.
Liu Siqi suddenly panicked and had a premonition that Mao Anying might go to participate in the Korean War.
Liu Siqi went to Chairman Mao cautiously with the photos, saying that he had not received a letter from Anying for more than two years.
After seeing the photo, Chairman Mao knew that there was no way to hide the truth any longer.
then told Liu Siqi the fact that Mao Anying had passed away. After hearing this, Liu Siqi burst into tears uncontrollably.
It wasn't until Chairman Mao's secretary reminded him that he realized that his father's hands were cold and he stopped crying.
After calming down, Liu Siqi told his father that Mao Anying told him before leaving that he should take good care of his family and spend more time with his father.

Before leaving, his wife endured the pain and insisted on sending her husband to the door of the hospital. Before Mao Anying left, he bent down to his wife and bowed solemnly.

Chairman Siqi studied abroad and advised him to remarry
In 1954, after completing high school, Siqi was sent by Chairman Mao to Moscow University for further studies. Many years later, Liu Siqi recalled that when he shook hands with his father and said goodbye, he still remembered his father's words at that time. His hands were as cold as a stone without temperature.
In 1959, Liu Siqi completed his studies and joined the work.
While studying abroad, Chairman Mao couldn't bear to leave Liu Siqi a widow because Liu Siqi was only in his twenties, so he wrote home letters many times to advise Liu Siqi to remarry. Liu Siqi did not agree for a long time.
It wasn't until Shaohua went to persuade Liu Siqi that Liu Siqi said that he had never been to Mao Anying's cemetery and did not want to consider remarrying.
After Mao Zedong learned about the situation, felt that the person who tied the bell had to be tied to the bell, so he agreed that Liu Siqi should go to North Korea to visit Mao Anying's grave.

After returning from the cemetery, Liu Siqi decided to remarry under the constant guidance of his father Mao Zedong.

In 1962, Liu Siqi and Yang Maozhi got married under the influence of Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong was very happy to see the two getting married, and he understood his long-cherished wish.
wrote another song " Bu Suanzi. Yong Mei " and gave it to the two as a wedding gift. Chairman Mao also used the money he earned from writing to give them a 300-yuan red envelope so that they could buy some household items.
After getting married, Liu Siqi and Yang Maozhi treated each other with respect and gave birth to four children. Among them, the eldest son was named Yang Xiaoying.
The name Yang Xiaoying was given by Liu Siqi in memory of her deceased ex-husband Mao Anying.
Mao Anying's sacrifice was for the people's happy life and deserves to be remembered forever.
During the Korean War, there were many people like Liu Siqi and Mao Anying, who sacrificed their families to protect everyone for the future of New China.
