Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the South Australian government signed a cooperation statement, setting the goal of accelerating the transformation of clean energy and developing the hydrogen energy economy.
According to the statement, MHI hopes to work with the Australian government to propose solutions that integrate its products, technologies and services.
Hydrogen Future Network learned that this Japanese company is developing export strategies and strategic partnerships to propose solutions for the development of the globally competitive Hydrogen export industry; promote the progress of new technologies and industrial opportunities; accelerate large-scale industrial decarbonization projects; and develop the domestic market by establishing a hydrogen ecosystem.
MHI said that by promoting the development of the value chain of South Australia hydrogen energy and the acceleration of industrial decarbonization, it hopes to help promote the economic development of the state and achieve a sustainable society.
South Australia Governor Peter Malinauskas commented: "This cooperation statement is a commitment of the state government and industry partners to work together to accelerate the development of the South Australia hydrogen economy. South Australia is open to business and we have ambitions for hydrogen." The South Australia state government announced its intention to formulate new hydrogen legislation to license and regulate hydrogen production in the state, and this cooperation began.
