Recently, General Technology China Machinery Europe (Italy) Co., Ltd. and Ikarus S.r.l., a subsidiary of France's GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE (GDS) Group, signed the Ikarus S.r.l., an Italian Manduria 7MW photovoltaic power station project EPC general contract.
This project is located in Manduria, Taranto Province, Apulia Region, Italy. China Machinery Europe (Italy) is responsible for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, trial operation and operation and maintenance of the power station. After the project is completed, it is expected that the annual power generation will reach 11.6 million kWh, saving 2755 tons of standard coal and reducing 7540 tons of CO2 emission equivalent.
This project is the first EPCh general contract contract signed by General Technology Group in Italy, marking the group's new breakthrough in in the engineering contract market in the country.
Italy has rich lighting resources and high openness in the power market. According to its National Energy Strategy, by 2030, the annual installed capacity of photovoltaic in Italy will be 2.5 million kilowatts, with a broad development prospect.
