I read three sentences in a book that resonated with me, and they have become my motto ever since. These three sentences are: "There are people to love, something to do, and something to look forward to."
The language is very simple, but it is not easy to do it.
The so-called "being loved" means being able to enjoy the happiness of love.
Parents love us because we feel warm because of the warmth of home; lovers love us because love is charming and we feel intoxicated; friends love us because friendship can always bring us strength and joy, and we will be very pleased. All of these are expressions of love.
However, I prefer to understand "someone loves" as "someone is loved by you", that is to say, you can love others proactively.
No one wants to hold an ice cube in their hand for too long because it is too cold.
Sometimes, we complain that the world is too indifferent and no one cares about us enough. In fact, we do not realize that maybe it is because we ourselves are indifferent that the world seems so indifferent.
I always believe that the world you see is what you are like. Even if you are a stove, if you don't light a fire in winter, no one will be around you, because you can't give people warmth.
Therefore, if we want to influence the people around us, we should radiate our enthusiasm like a burning furnace in winter, convey our love and willingness to help others, so that the people around us can feel the love and warmth in the world.
People have energy. You can’t see this energy, but it is constantly emitting it invisibly. Some people emit negative energy, and some people emit positive energy.
A person who exudes positive energy must be a very positive person. Such a person can not only face life and society with a more positive attitude, but also influence the people around him with such an attitude, making them feel the happiness of "being loved".
The second sentence is called "Something to do".
What does "having something to do" mean?
Get up every morning and memorize words, read English, practice listening or write an essay. This is called "having something to do".
Your life is not made up of your lifelong ideals. Although the ideals are beautiful, before you put them into action, they are just illusory ideas and have nothing to do with the life you actually spend every day. It is impossible to predict in advance which tree we will stop in front of and which foothill we will look at the scenery in this life.
There will be many changes in life, but there is one thing we can do: the initiative in what we do every day is in our own hands. You can go out and play, you can read and study, or you can drink and chat with friends, it's completely up to you.
The things we do every day may seem trivial, but they are very important.

The third sentence is "expectations."

Today you can think about tomorrow, this year you can think about next year, and a 20-year-old can imagine whether he can have a different life when he is 40 and work hard for it.
We grow up in expectation, and expectation gives us the motivation to work harder.
