I support this kind of recruitment system, but I have a trouble that has always confused me. The previous model of recruiting a doctorate was that no matter how the candidates were, they could come to the school for exams as long as they registered, and they could have an opportunity to communicate in person with their tutors. From the perspective of a tutor, at least it can intuitively understand students . The current application and assessment system of deprives most candidates of the opportunity to come to school for exams . Of course, since it is an exam, no matter what form it is, there will definitely be elimination, but it has brought me human confusion. In the vast sea of people, meeting is fate. From the perspective of secular human feelings, many candidates contact me with a sincere heart, and every time I receive an email from the candidate, I will reply in a timely and polite manner. This kind of communication will produce some emotions. So I can't bear to see that most of the candidates were ruthlessly turned away. These candidates not only have the illusion that they have ended before they even started, but more importantly, they may also have various speculations about the reasons why they are turned away.
In view of this trouble, this year, I wrote emails to about 30 candidates who applied for a doctorate who did not pass the scientific research review one by one to explain their shortcomings and the direction of their efforts.
