University is the spirit of the city. Any decent city or historical and cultural city must have a decent university as its companion. There is a big gap between the East and the West. Western universities are often built in wilderness and isolated from the world, but they do not affect teaching, scientific research, enrollment and employment. If Chinese universities are in a remote corner, they will not be popular even if they are ranked high. Among the top ten top universities in China, the area codes of the city are not three digits. Only Zhejiang University and China University of Science and Technology . Zhejiang University owns the beautiful land of Hangzhou and does not care about the area code; the area code of the University of Science and Technology of China was originally 010, but later it was transferred to Hefei because of combat readiness, and it is gone forever.
Why do Chinese universities always move around?
The first time it was because of war. In 1937, the Anti-Japanese War broke out. The Beijing area of Peking University , Tsinghua University , Nankai University moved south to Changsha, and later moved to Kunming to form Southwest United University . Relocation was difficult, but it was not as large as we imagined. At that time, the number of teachers and students in college was limited, with a total of only more than 1,000. Other universities in the Beijing-Tianjin area formed Northwest United University, while universities in Northeast China, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Henan and other places fought for their own hardships. The spirit of patriotism and national salvation is an important page in the spiritual spectrum of Chinese universities.

In 1969, 13 engineering colleges including the University of Science and Technology of China, Beijing Institute of Architecture and Industry, Beijing Institute of Light Industry, Beijing Institute of Machinery, Beijing Institute of Electric Power , Beijing Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydropower , Beijing Institute of Petroleum, Beijing Institute of Geology, Beijing Institute of Mining and Technology, Beijing Institute of Mining and Technology, Beijing Institute of Mining and Technology, , Beijing Agricultural University, Beijing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, Beijing Institute of Forestry, Beijing Institute of Railways, etc., moved out of Beijing.
After the reform and opening up , some of these 13 universities resumed schooling in Beijing, such as China Agricultural University , Beijing Forestry University, and Beijing Jiaotong University; some of them run schools in two places, such as China University of Petroleum, China University of Geosciences, China University of Mining and Technology , North China Electric Power University ; some of them have taken root in the local area, such as China University of Science and Technology, North China University of Hydropower , and Beijing Institute of Construction and Industry; some of them are divided into two, such as Beijing University of Technology (formerly Beijing Institute of Light Industry), Beijing University of Information Technology (formerly Beijing Institute of Machinery).
The third time is due to expansion and relocation. Chinese universities, from top to bottom, have all begun to build new campuses, significantly increasing the scale of school management. Beijing focuses on developing three university towns, Shahe, Liangxiang and Tongzhou, among which:
Shahe University Town brings together China University of Political Science and Law, Peking University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology , North China Electric Power University , Petroleum University , Beijing Agricultural College , Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics , Beijing Normal University , Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications , School of Diplomacy , Central University of Finance and Economics , China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing University of Information Technology , etc.
Liangxiang University Town: Currently there are University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences , Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Capital Normal University , and Beijing University of Technology and Business.
In addition, Renmin University of China and Tsinghua University will also build a new campus in Tongzhou.
The reason why the Fourth School relocated to Xiong'an was because it did not find the land in the above three places, so it had to choose Xiong'an. On the other hand, Xiong'an is a plan for a thousand years, and it may not be without Shahe and Liangxiang's future. This depends on the achievements of the second entrepreneurship of the four schools. I hope to avoid the same misfortune as the people's "moving is equivalent to a fire."
