On September 18, the District Education Commission held the Huairou District Integrated Education Work Promotion Conference for the 2021-2022 school year.


The meeting re-emphasized the significance of the establishment of the Inclusive Education Promotion Committee, and comprehensively deployed the inclusive education work. In addition, the District Special Education Center has conducted detailed training on the identification of students in regular classes, case management, and individualized education plans, and organized various resource centers to conduct group discussions.

At the meeting, Li Yongzheng, deputy director of the District Education Commission, summarized the highlights of integrated education in Huairou District last school year, and put forward specific plans on how to improve the quality of integrated education. The leading and demonstrative role played in the promotion of integrated education has been fully affirmed. In response to the existing problems, he requested that, first, change concepts and raise awareness so that students with special needs can share educational resources with students of the same age is the fundamental purpose of integrated education. Schools must not reject special students and operate special education service entities. Make the best use of everything to meet the educational needs of special students. The second is to strengthen leadership and have a dedicated person responsible. The school must effectively integrate integrated education with the school’s overall work plan to ensure that there are measures and effects. Each school district and each school must select capable and responsible teachers to take the role of integrated education management. The faculty is relatively stable. The third is to innovate and develop to ensure actual results. It is necessary to give full play to the active role of various entities and implementation committees, increase the intensity of itinerant guidance and inspection, and supervise the formation of an efficient working mechanism.
