About 500 BC, Sakyamuni was born in a small country in the ancient India's Kapilava country. His father was named Sudon King . Sakyamuni was his prince and the future successor to the throne.
But Sakyamuni was obviously not satisfied with his personal enjoyment. After getting married, the child left his home a few months after he was born, began his journey of becoming a monk and practicing. Finally, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree and finally became a respected Buddha.
After becoming a Buddha, Sakyamuni founded Buddhism and was respected by disciples in the teachings as the World Honored One and Buddha.
People in the secular world think that since Sakyamuni was respected as the Buddha, he was the first Buddha to create the world. But this is not the case in the Buddha's sense. In addition to Sakyamuni Buddha, even before him, there were at least three Buddhas, namely Detaining Sun Buddha, Kannamuni Buddha and Kashyapa Buddha.
Of course, the three Buddhas outside Sakyamuni have appeared many times in Sakyamuni's mouth. Let's introduce them together today:
1. Detention of Sun Buddha:
Detention of Sun Buddha is just his honor after becoming a Buddha. His original surname is Kashyapa, and he is also a Brahmin caste in ancient India. According to the saying, Sun Buddha was born in Ansheng City. After practicing, he realized enlightenment under a corpse-lisha tree;
2. Kinnahamun Buddha:
According to the saying, Kinnahamun Buddha's secular surname is Kashyapa, and it is also a Brahmin caste. His father is called Dade and his mother is called Shansheng.
Kunamuni Buddha was born in Qingjing City. After years of practice, he finally realized and became a Buddha under a "Wu Shang Bharata Tree";
3. Kashyapa Buddha:
As the name suggests, Kashyapa Buddha is also a family business, and is also a Brahmin caste. His father's name is Brahman, but his mother has a noble name - rich man.
According to legend, Kashyapa Buddha was born in the territory of Magadha in ancient India, Rhode City . After years of practice, he finally realized the enlightenment under a "Nikuru tree";
4. Shakyamuni Buddha:
Shakyamuni is the most familiar Buddha. His secular name is Gautama and Siddhartha. He was born in the Lumbini Garden of Kapilava in the ancient India . Siddhartha is a member of the Sakyamuni tribe. His father is Suddhodana of the Kapilava , and his mother is called Madame Maya .
As the prince of Kapilava, Shakyamuni later became a monk and practiced, and finally realized the enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
Based on the above four Buddhas' enlightenment experiences, we discovered a very strange phenomenon, that is, the three Buddhas before Sakyamuni were all surnamed Kashyapa, and they were all Brahmin castes. The most rare thing is that at the last moment of enlightenment of the four Buddhas' enlightenment, they all happened to need a tree.
The Brahmin caste was a high caste group in ancient India. From this perspective, it is likely that it would also require huge resources to become a Buddha in ancient times. Only people with rich and high castes can practice and attain enlightenment faster.
In addition, at the key points of enlightenment, some "external forces" may be needed, such as Sakyamuni's Bodhi tree , Kashyapa's Niku tree, etc. What these plants have in common is that their profession is relatively lush and can shelter people under the trees from wind and rain. For those who practice, it may also be a kind of help to purify and eliminate demons.
Generally speaking, no one can succeed casually. This sentence is very appropriate, regardless of ancient and modern times, whether it is a layman or a practice. Just like the four Buddhas introduced above, their cultivation process can be said to be extremely difficult and dangerous, and it is obviously impossible to achieve without the firm determination of the past and present.
